This was my second stay at the Hilton Danube and it had nothing to do with the first. We arrived on the 31st for 2 days. The hotel was crowded. The staff was polite but not really helpful. On arrival there was nobody at the door so we did not know whether to unload and go to the garage or...

We were here for a week, enjoyed our stay and made use of the facilities. Staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast and Dinner at the waterfront restaurant were great and really enjoyed champagne Wednesday in the bar. Would recommend.

It is a disadvantage that it is not near the center of Vienna. You need to take the underground to visit all the important sights. I imagine that in summer it must be more fun because it has outdoor facilities and an outdoor pool. The wifi is very poor but the people are very friendly and the room is large...

Stayed here in January, the view is beautiful. Excellent value, pity about the gap between the door and the floor as you hear everything in the hall way and the light shines in. Breakfast was very nice - big variety.

Stayed here in December after a grueling day of the fabulous Christmas markets. Very quiet (until.early dawn) when I started wheat trains. Am out the door to the Danube. Hotel was decorated in holiday finery. Wonderful breakfast.

The hotel was decorated for Christmas beautifully, Christmas trees and a reindeer and sleigh in outdoor areas were lovely. The staff were very helpful with things that we needed done and the buffet Breakfast each morning was a delight, it was hard to decide what to have from the selection on offer each day.

The Hilton Vienna Danube Waterfront is an excellent value. Rooms are very large, furnishings and the king-size bed are comfortable, service is great, and the buffet breakfast is lavish. If you belong to HHonors and book through the Hilton website, base-level WiFi is free and adequate for email and most web browsing, and you also see a room-and breakfast package...

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel as we stayed for a week for New Year's Eve. Staff are very helpful. We were allocated on the Executive Floor and had very spacious rooms with sofa and a desk. Rooms were clean. Free WIFI in the Lobby area at a very good speed. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk from...

Stayed for 3 nights as part of a Trafalgar tour. One of the nights was before the tour started. The hotel is well suited to tour groups due to its location away from the city centre and ease of access for the tour bus. Is about a 20 to 30 minute trip by Metro from the time you leave your...

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
