It's a little out of the centre, and it's not flashy, but this is an excellent hotel. It is conveniently located for just about everything, provided you don't mind a few minutes walk and it is only a few yards from the underground or the trams. We were here for a family celebration and had 2 rooms, both of which...

Just finished a 4 night stay. Have no complaints at all. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Room is beautiful and clean, with excellent modern decor. The concierge Gabor was especially helpful. Via email, he arranged for fantastic seats for us, 9 months in advance for the Lipizzaner Horse show and Vienna Boys Choir Mass. He also provided us with...

Hotels can make or break a holiday and this one made it! From the moment we arrived (early around 11.00 am they accommodated us with ready made rooms) to the moment we left (extended check out) we could not fault this hotel. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the marble bathrooms had generous space for personal toiletries (sounds insignificant...

My daughter and I had a lovely break at this beautiful hotel. After reviewing several she choose this one and we were not disappointed, From the very entrance to the room we were impressed. The whole area is subtly, classically decorated and everything you need to enjoy a relaxing visit. The room was large, with two very comfortable beds and...

I spent two nights on the Hilton Vienna Plaza. The hotel's lobby and common areas are immaculate and beautifully decorated. My Executive room, on the tenth floor, was equally well decorated, clean as a whistle and very comfortable. The room # 1009, opened on to a private roof terrace with a beautiful view of the cathedral. All rooms on the...

Enjoyed a lovely stay in Vienna for 3 days last week. I had taken some pains deciding on which hotel and I have no regrets. The Hilton Plaza was a great choice. The hotel was VERY comfortable, warm and peaceful. The beds were perfect (much appreciated after much walking) Being picky,…I personally didn’t like the pillows but my friend slept...

Fabulous hotel with so much of Vienna within a 15-20min walk (and walking gives you a great feel for the city). For further out, the Schottentor U-bahn station is directly around the corner from the front doors and from there you can get pretty much anywhere. Staff friendliness and overall service are way above and beyond any Hilton in the...

I can't speak highly enough about this hotel. I stayed here last week with my mum, we arrived early around 11am and we able to check in straight away which was wonderful after a 4am start. We booked a twin executive room, which was spacious, comfortable with plenty of storage and a lovely bathroom. I understand the hotel was recently...

Again, happy with this choice of hotels. Our rooms were very large, especially for a European Hotel. We upgraded to an executive level which then included breakfast. Although the breakfast was not overly extensive, it was just what we needed to get our day started, so I am glad we did that. You could still order items, like eggs and...

This hotel was in a perfect position and was not far from all the major attractions, either on foot or on the tram (which stops right outside). For a large hotel, it didn't seem big and had a very intimate feel to it. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We were remembered each time we went into breakfast,...

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighbourhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighbourhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
