We chose to stay here because it is an iconic Viennese Hotel right in the heart of the Old Town. We also knew that it was 50% more expensive than comparable rooms in comparable 5 star hotels in Vienna so expected a great room with great service during our stay. After booking a top deluxe room, we were assigned room...

I have just returned from the Sacher hotel from a 5-night honeymoon break. I cannot begin to articulate how incredible out stay was; from arrival to departure, we were treated like royalty! The room was immaculate, comfortable and actually very pretty; the daily little treats left for us made us feel special every single day; the breakfast was incredible, where...

Hotel Sacher is the best of all phases of a hotel...old world character, wonderful service, caring staff, beautiful rooms, great location, delicious dining...and, of course, sachertortes. We had a suite that was beautiful and contained everything one could ask for. There was nothing that was not thought of. The staff at reception, especially Julia, was friendly and caring. The concierge,...

recently stayed at the hotel sacher with my wife for our anniversary. Simply put the stay exceeded what were very high expectations set by relatively high room rates and a sterling reputation. I had several interactions with the concierge leading up to our stay that resulted in great restaurant recommendations. The email response time prior to our stay was phenomenal....

Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
