We stayed here for 4 days, the hotel is clean and the breakfast was fab.. we also are evening meal here 2 nights too very plain, steak or chicken...Vienna is very expensive so having this option was fab. The hotel was cleaned daily and is situated just up from the Westbahnhof train station, Raimund Theater and Mariahilfer Strasse, Vienna's largest...

This was not the first time I stayed in this hotel and definitely not the last one. Professional and polite staff since the first touch upon making the reservation with Hanssel till the end of my stay. Perfect location, rooms are nice and clean and rich breakfast buffet. RECOMMENDED !

If you consider St Stephans Cathedrale to be the center of Vienna, this Ibis hotel is in a wrong place at the end of busy shopping street Mariahilfer strasse close to the West Bahnhof. Coming to this hotel from the airport, use the airport express bus although there is nothing speedy about this bus since circles around Vienna picking individual...

Nice, clean rooms. Awesome shower which feels great after a long day of exploring the city. The breakfast is wonderful. Staff is not super friendly, but they are fine. The hotel was bustling with tour groups while we were there.

Vienna is very beautiful and elegant. There is something to see at every corner. Fortunately they have a very efficient underground which takes you anywhere in a very short time and it is not expensive unlike anything else. Also all instructions/directions are in German and they seem to lack signposts to the various locations. All in all it was a...

It's located very near to the West Train station of Wien and many good restaurant and shopping district nearby as well. Quite a distance away from main city Centre attractions but easily reachable with the train and/or bus. Very helpful front desk staff that provided us good information on sightseeing places, restaurants, and also train or bus directions. Overall the...

Solid modern hotel. Close to the Western Train station. Excellent buffet breakfast, both hot and cold. If you have heavy luggage, you may want to use the entrance on the street next to the main entrance (which has several steps,)

This is a very good hotel, with a very good location with good communications. Close to the shopping area at pedestrian distance. The service is good. The staff is very polite. The price is reasonable. Unfortunately, it is too noisy. The traffic does not stop all night.

I don't know what but there is something I don't like in that hotel rather than other Ibis hotels. Reception & welcome was a little bit cold, room was so-so, hotel is not so close to the city center but very close to transportation choices & Mariahilfer street. But higher floors have an amazing Wien view, check out my photo!

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
