We just enjoyed a lovely weekend at the Hotel Imperial Vienna. The property is located in a very central location and is walking distance to many major attractions - St. Stephen's, Hofburg Palace, the State Opera and the shopping district. The building has a unique charm with clean rooms and modern touches. Most importantly, the staff was exceptionally friendly, courteous...

There is a lot to say about it ! First of all it is ideally located especially for the culturaly bent people ; the Wiener Philharmonker is right behind it so you may walk to the concert; the Opera House is also within the walking distance and so on. The building is really opulent , well maintained , exuding elegance...

I just cannot say enough nice things about this beautiful old hotel! We had a 2 night stopover in Vienna before going on to Milan coming from the USA. My husband's luggage was lost, which was quite a disaster for us b / cause of his medicine and a medical device.! The hotel let us stay until time for our...

We arrived at the Hotel Imperial on 9/12 and stayed for two nights as a pre Christmas break. We were greeted upon arrival by a trainee receptionist who was very professional and welcoming. She escorted us to our room after giving us a brief tour of the bar, dining areas etc and ensured we were happy with our allocated room....

I attended a group dinner for approximately 40 people here. The hotel lobby, bar and sitting area are opulent and impressive but so also are the private rooms for group gatherings. The architectural details are exquisite and the history of the hotel intriguing. As for the dinner, the service was top rate as was the menu.

Wonderful palace hotel with attentive staff and the (very) highest quality common areas. High ceilinged rooms were aristocratic to say the least and hotel service of the highest level. It is a new favourite for us. We will definitely be back. Minor negatives were the room didn't get upgraded despite spg gold status, they lost a dinner reservation made ahead...

Visited on various occasions during the summer and although it is an expensive stay, it is an experience of a lifetime! We recommended the hotel to some family and they were just as amazed. The food and the attention to detail is fabulous Hope to visit again

We thoroughly enjoyed our Viennese experience at the Imperial because of the beautiful way we were treated by all staff members, our room was luxurious and a pleasure to stay in, the piano bar was a great way to while away an hour or so quaffing cocktails, the location is so handy for sight seeing. I can wholeheartedly recommend the...

Hotel Imperial is a wonderful hotel. It may not have some of the amenities that new hotels may have, but the combination of a top notch staff, fantastic location and amazing historical setting makes this a great hotel. The Staff at the Hotel Imperial is top notch. Every question I had was always answered promptly and efficiently. The suggestions and...

Very good and luxury hotel. Nice room with high ceiling and very comfortable bed. Also before our stay they recommended us to book a table for a dinner in their Opus restaurant ( has Michelin star), it was very useful and we have booked a table and enjoyed the delicious dinner. Just one big issue that was during our stay:...

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
