The location of the hotel was excellent: close to the subway and in a walking distance to museums, opera and shopping streets. The Staff was very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast room was small but cozy. Our room and especially the bathroom was very small. The only negativity about the hotel was the lack of the air conditioner.

This family owned hotel is an excellent place to stay.It is in the heart of the city near all the marvelous attractions in Vienna. A very short walking distance to Albertina, The Opera House, the restaurants and the great shopping area. The owners are friendly and welcoming. The helped us when my son left his backpack in the train we took...

Had a good time there. Nice place to stay. We spent total 20 days here. The overall food and stay is very good in this hotel. I love to roam around Vienna. So it's the nice place to stay cool. When ever I revisit this location I will definitely stay in this hotel. I strongly recommend this for everyone.

We did a three day trip to Vienna and we wanted to stay in a smaller hotel versus a typical western style hotel. We were looking for more of a bed and breakfast hotel feel. I believe we found that with this hotel. Our great experience started out when I emailed asking if they had rooms available. The staff had...

The rooms are very cozy and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast buffet is delicious and filling. The staff was helpful and accommodating when we changed our reservation. The hotel is within walking distance of a main shopping pedestrian street. The only drawback is the price: the hotel is a little overpriced at around $135 a night for a double...

I would like to thank to staff and owner who made our one night stay in this nice family owned hotel so confortable. Last minute booking directly with reception (better price like on booking.com), clear communication, very nice receptionist at booking and in person. We had a nice room with nice view at pedestrian zone on the 5th floor. Yes,...

BEWARE of booking any kind of stay in Vienna at Hotel zur Wiener Staatsoper. Despite what is advertised on their website, this is anything but an operation that cares about the satisfaction of its clients. I booked a room on November 2, 2015 for three people for July 20, 2016, but had to cancel the reservation, due to the illness...

Our arrival was met with a very friendly reception and a glass of sparkling wine. The staff were all immensely helpful and friendly. The room, while not ultra modern, was clean, comfortable and warm with a nice shower room. The location is perfect for visiting all the city's main attractions. The efficient breakfast room offers a wide selection to choose...

The location of this little inn is close to ideal. Based in old town on a low car traffic street, it is a very short walk to the Hopfburg Apartments, the opera house and the main pedestrian shopping areas. Additionally it's close to a U-bahn and tram station. The owners and their staff are friendly and helpful, giving this a...

I cancelled my stay one week in advance and they immediately charged my credit card for the whole booking. I am still dealing with them to get my money back. Warning, do not book a room here! When I called to cancel they instructed me to call Expedia since I booked it through them. Expedia told me to call the...

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
