I know it's a cheap hostel but anyway I've been to many of it and I've never seen an hostel as dirty as this one! The shower were disastrous and the reception wasn't nice at all. Moreover, our room, on ground 0, was just close to a road with traffic. bad experience

I've stayed in hostels all over Europe and Asia and can safely say this is the WORST HOSTEL I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. The dirtiest place in Vienna, don't ever stay here it's just not worth it. Dodgey area, dodgey-er people staying there long term, my sister had her hidden $100 euros stolen from inside her suitcase.

We did not enjoy our stay at this hostel. We found this place by picking up a leaflet at another hostel but when we got here, as vienna is expensive we thought we would stay in the larger dormitory but we were not told that in that room there were a group of older men that had come together as...

Good hostel. Frendly staff. Open 24/7. No restriction and limiting rules. Location also is suitable. Just a front of subway station and near tram, that deliver your to city center. Good choice to stay for several day.

My friends and I really enjoyed Jacks Hostel, the rooms were good and i felt secure leaving my things there with lockers available for valuables. The staff were friendly and seemed eager to please with someone on reception from early on to late (which really is beneficial at times, they also dont close for cleaning service like some other hostels...

We saw on hostelworld that a dormroom would cost us 12 euro per person. Very nice! We did not book, but just drove to the hostel. The price was now 19 euros for the exact same! They told us we could book on hostelworld, if we wanted the 12 euro price. I dont understand, what the difference is?! Also the...

I stayed at the hostel for two nights in the double room. I enjoyed it very much as the hostel is located right next to a U-Bahn (underground) station. It took me about 20 minutes to the inner part of Vienna by walking. Hostel is clean, staff is nice and helpful. I can recommend the Jacks Hostel!

Staff was friendly - long black hair on blankets - bathroom was ok - towel service is a good joke, you get a unwashed brand new thin towel, which you can use for ventilating to get dry, otherwise you make dry parts wet for 2,99 Euros... you get probably better accomodations for same price

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hi. My name is Jack.Welcome to my Hostel. After traveling a lot all around Europe and the rest of the world I decided to start my own hostel. Jack's Hostel is a small hostel right near the center of Vienna directly at the underground station Thaliastrasse. Its just 15 min to get to the most interesting places of the biggest city in Austria by using public transport. I've got a big kitchen, a nice common room and first of all cozy dorms with 6-12 beds. You can get a breakfast in the morning, use free internet and my staff can tell you a lot about nice places to visit in Vienna. ... more   less

“One thing that could be annoying. Some rooms have thiere windows to the street with a strong traffic even at night. It could be noisy if you have window opened, and do it in summer hot. That was not assential problem for me, but maybe some one has sensible ear)))”
