My wife and I stayed at K&T this past weekend while in Vienna. The building (quiet in and of itself) is on a quiet street in easy walking distance of most of the City's major attractions and close by an underground stop for other destinations....More
We couldn't have found a place better to stay in Vienna than K&T Boardinghouse for our family of 6. We had two rooms - a quad and a double - and both were wonderfully comfortable, simple and clean. The location is ideal down the street...More
We stayed here for 3 nights - perfect for us It's located in a large building on a small street. Several rooms on the floor but felt very private. A nice size room with "smallish" bathroom w/very good shower. You can catch a bus literally...More

Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with
its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
We'll be training in from Munich. How do we get to your place from Wien HBF? Thanks :-)

You will need to take the U1 metro line at the Sudtiroler Platz station. We bought a 2 day pass on metro tickets, I believe. There are signs in the train station to follow to get you there, or ask an agent. Get out at the Stephansplatz station and then take the U3 towards Ottakring. Exit the metro at Neubaugasse. You should now be on Mariahilfer. This is where it got tricky. The boardinghouse is the street behind Mariahilfer at Chwallagasse 2. The metro exits were confusing because they exited in two different places on the same street! We had a tough time with this, so have gps, or contact the hotel and ask specifically which exit is closest. Once you find it the first time it is much easier the second, but we did goof up again once! The boardinghouse is at the back end of building. Once there, walking to the old city is pretty easy, or you can continue to metro in. We did both. It is a great location and hotel!
