My wife and I stayed for three nights, it is in a very good location just outside the city center ring and very close to the Volkstheater U-bahn stop. The room was clean, but noisy at night. Due to the lack of air conditioning in the hotel, you have to keep the window open to stay cool at night, which...

It is perfect place where to stay during a visit to Vienna. Close to two metro stations for diferent lines, close to Rathaus, Mariahilferstrasse, Opera and many other attractions. Good services, great breakfast, very clean and silent. The Starbucks cofee shop by the corner is the best place for the morning cofee and planning a new day in Vienna.

Well, I don't have anything special to say about this hotel. Indeed, the location is good, on a quiet street, very close to the heart of Vienna. The room is taller then long, clean and nice colored curtains at the window. The breakfast is very basic, in a Viennese way (for this kind of the hotels). Asking for internet connection,...

My stay there was... OK! The hotel is located on very strategic place - every where you can go by foot or by the underground train( the entransce is 200m away from the hotel). The only problem that I founf is that the ladies making the rooms are the same cleaning the tables at the breakfast - so the rooms...

I think this hotel is perfect. Everything was great: rooms were clean, very spacious and quiet. Location is perfect! We didn't have breakfast there so I can't tell if they have it or not at all. We traveled there with my friends and we really enjoyed our stay:) btw prices were relatively low

While allegedly this street was quiet in the past, now it resounds with the roar of nearby traffic, passing trams, loudmouths walking past late at night...you name it. The rooms are pleasant enough (nice bathroom) but it's so hot in here that to sleep with the window closed is asking for a hangover-like headache in the morning. But how are...

I spent 7 nights here, recommended as close to the Natural History Museum where I was working. Helpful desk staff. Took me longer than it should have to realize that to modify the temperature (a bit too warm for my taste) I had only to dial down the radiator (hidden behind the curtains under the window). Breakfast was the typical...

We stayed for just one night during the Christmas season for a city trip with the wife and 1yr-old. While this hotel is basic and the rooms and furniture are a bit worn down, the location and the price make up for that. The hotel is in a quiet street, just minutes walking from most major tourist sights. Staff is...

Hotel Admiral provides basic but spotlessly clean accommodation in a location that can’t be beat at reasonable prices in this otherwise rather expensive city. I’ve stayed here on three visits to Vienna and have enjoyed the stay every time.* It’s a block outside the southwestern edge of the Ringstrasse, right behind the Museumsquartier, on a quiet side street off of...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
