Barbara Heinz at front desk has really bad attitude. We have booked one big size bed for one couple honeymoon but her reply was "no one bid bed". You can put your twin together yourself. The travel agent must requested the bid bed but she...More
Hotel is convenient to public transportation and staff is helpful in suggesting restaurants and providing directions via public transportation. There are a few eating places nearby, but the more interesting restaurants require a tram ride to center city -- an easy thing to do.

Dear Midwest_Karen, thank you very much for your friendly review! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and hopefully may welcome you again soon. Kind regards from Vienna, your team of Senator Hotel Vienna
The location of the hotel is great! There's a Lidl supermarket downstairs (so forget about those vending machines with overpriced snacks right outside the lifts) and it's very close to the tram stop. To get to the city centre, just take tram 43 (towards Schottentor)....More
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Ensure the windows are closed otherwise you will get no sleep due to all the street and city noises. The location of the hotel is very good with a tram stop very close to the hotel. It takes ±15-20...More
A nice place three tram stops away from the nearest metro station (a trip to the city centre will take you half an hour). Clean, nice, warm - everything needed for a person who wants to see Vienna and needs hotel only to sleep there.

The production site of popular Ottakringer beer brews up an exciting mix of working and middle class suburbs, Balkanese immigrant lifestyles, and lush patches of hilly woodland. The recently gentrified area around Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt boasts hip cafés and bars next to South East European delicacies at Brunnenmarkt street market. The dynamics of Ottakring become most apparent at its vibrant high
street Ottakringer Strasse. At the top end you can feast on wine and local food in Austria’s oldest wine tavern 10er Marie. The wines are from the tavern’s own urban vineyards. Before you head upwards, make sure you pay a visit to the historic courtyards between Lerchenfelder Gürtel and Hippgasse. When locals visit Ottakring’s hilly green outskirts on the weekends they either climb up 31 meters of Jubiläumswarte viewing tower on Gallitzinberg, have a succulent Wiener Schnitzel at Villa Aurora, or reward their hiking exertions around Wilhelminenberg with a drink and a view from Wilhelminenberg Palace (now a hotel and restaurant).

I traveled with my car. But once I was in the hotel I let my car in the hotel garage and I used tram. The tram station in very close to the hotel, aprox 1-2 min. I used to take the tram 43 to Schotenttor Station which is a main tram station, I am sure from Schotenttor you can take tram or subway to main train station Haubtbahnhoff. Please see on the internet the tram map in Vienna
