The hotel has a perfect location, right near the nashmarket. The rooms were fairly clean, and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was included and had a nice big selection to choose from. We would definitively stay again.

Walk to the Museum Quarter and some fantastic restaurants (we tried the Arabic the Greek and the same street and the Italian in the next street). Staff are friendly and helpful. They offer s a range of room types and prices. We were at the budget end and very happy.

It is not the best hotel I have ever stayed in, but I really enjoyed staying here. Location is good, the price was more than reasonable, the room was clean and staff nice and helpful.

I stayed one night in this hotel. I booked a double-economy room with 40 or 50 % discount. It was really cheep and to be honest I did not expect much from this hotel since I just stayed 1 night. But I was very surprised to see how clean the hotel was. My room had a good size. The was...

I will make this short, because this hotel actually was very nice. We were 3 boys staying at this hotel for 4 days, and we had a good time at the hotel. The breakfast was nice. The rooms had an okay size, but a little small for 3 big boys in a double room, but it was okay. The location...

I have stayed for one whole week in this hotel. Nice, spacious, centrally located, clean, nice breakfast, kind staff, free wireless on the 1st floor. Just one thing really bothered me about it and it happened on Sunday, the last day of my stay there. check-out was at 11 AM, but at 9 in the morning, while I was still...

This is an excellently located hostel. It's outside of the Innerstadt but still close (walking distance) to all the sights and transportation (metro, city bikes, buses, etc). I arrived on a Saturday morning and took a 2 minute walk (if even) to the Vienna's famous giant food and flea market (Naschmarkt and Flohmarkt). The rooms are basic but clean. The...

This hotel is one of the best the places I have ever stayed at. The mattress was a bit soft, but anything else was perfect, starting from the top location, the free LAN Internet access (with cable, far better than wireless), the Austrian breakfast outdoors and the friendly staff (I guess if one does not speak German, they are not...

Kolpinghaus Wien-Zentral is just a stairway away from Mariahilferstrasse and has a metro station nearby. The rooms are clean and nice, rather spacious and full of light. The breakfast is also very good with excellent selection of cheeses, hams, fruits and cereals. The staff is the only shortcoming of the hotel, or I was just unlucky all 3 times I...

If you're looking for something cheap fairly central (especially if you're into bars and less touristy restaurants) then this place is perfect. It's run well and delivers everything you need if you plan to spend most time outside in Vienna. Breakfast is anything but exciting so check out the musli bar next door instead. Note! Internet is only through fixed...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
