Staying at the Karlberger was the key to what proved my best week’s ski-holiday in over 30 years. Kitsbuhel is eye-wateringly expensive but I knew I just had to ski there at least once. So I decided to click on Crystal’s cheapest accommodation in the area to see if I could justify the trip. The blurb seemed too good to...

A group of us stayed here late march for a skiing trip. The location was perfect and service was very good. Friendly atmosphere in front of the fire on an evening. Rooms are pretty basic but are all you need for the time you spend in them.

Having read some TA reviews on Pension Karlberger after booking my skiing holiday with Crystal I was prepared for the worst. This seemed to be justified by the somewhat military style briefing by Richard on the rules of the house (no boots, towels will only be changed on Wednesdays if they are left on the floor, otherwise they won’t…..), an...

The Pension/chalet is perfectly located for the Hahnenkamm gondola. A short walk in the morning, and the home ski run stops by a bar just across the road. If your idea of a good ski holiday is that convenience at a fantastic low price plus a basic breakfast for morning fuel and clean rooms then this is the place for...

I visited the Chalet Karlberger in late March 2017 for a weeks snowboarding and had a really relaxing and fabulous time. Apparently the place changed hands last year and rather than being run as a chalet its now operated on a bed and breakfast place and is known as the Pensione Karlberger. Along with the change of management, Richard the...

The location of the chalet is excellent but found the hosts to be not the friendliest. We stayed in the apartment which was basic and could do with some kitchen utensils so you could use the microwave and have a drink... Found the apartment cold and really wanted to come back to a cosy room. best bits... location. this place...

Poor toilet facilities(health and saftey issues) toilet area too small to use shower and toilet. Wet floor and hot and cold tap keep moving with you turned around in the shower. No facility to wash your hands. This was in the room. breakfast was poor and no bed clothes or towels changed.

On arrival, we were made feel unwelcome and like we were inconveniencing our host. Rather than a warm and friendly welcome one might expect from this type of environment, we were lectured with a list of rules. The host didn't offer to assist us with our luggage which led to two other guests helping us with the stairs. As three...

We endeavour to be warm and friendly to all of our guests, that is particularly those that show us the same consideration. Those that do not, like yourself, are still treated with due respect and care. During your stay you chose to speak to the travel agency that booked your room rather than bring any issues up with the management...

This is a real gem. Very close to the main lift and ski school area. Short 5 minute walk to town. Apres bar across the road. Great food in the chalet. Excellent hosts. Very clean rooms. Separate, secure room for ski gear. Nice big fire place for wines/beers after a day on the slopes

This was our second visit, previously visit was in 2016 when run by Crystal staff. In 2016 we were greeted with warm and friendly Crystal staff, this time we were welcomed by please wipe your feet on the rug as the floor has just cost me 5k.... Our room was not ready so we were offered to put our suitcases...
