My wife and I stayed at Haus Lindner for two nights during a brief visit to Salzburg at the beginning of December. The rate for a double room was extremely cheap, and the room we were given was very spacious, including a large couch and a lovely view of the surrounds of Salzburg. A wash basin and shower was also...

We stayed here as a group of 3 people a while back and never got round to doing a review then, then I noticed Haus Lindner came up on the home page so thought id review it. I remember this place well because it was not a good experience. The people were quite unfriendly and made us feel we should...

I was travelling with my kids ages 9 and 11 so we were looking for an inexpensive place with three beds in one room. The Linders live in the front part of "Haus Linder" and you eat breakfast in the dining room while they sit and eat in the adjoining breakfast nook. I often felt as if we were intruding....

This is one train stop outside Salzburg. Lindner has a number of properties in the town, which vary in quality. We were not in one of the best rooms (although the view from the balcony was wonderful), and it would be worth questioning Mathilda a little before booking about whether the room is in the main house (good) or not...

We booked this B&B b/c Euro 2008 had jacked up prices in town, and we thought it would be fun to try something different! It was not the worst experience in the world but there are several minor changes the owner could make to make the stay more enjoyable for guests. It is quite far from town and hard to...

stayed here late last year and was very disappointed. for one the location was too far from salzburg and too much time was wasted finding the place. Frau Lidner was very unfriendly and we felt as though we shouldn't have been there. The biggest disappointed was not having an ensuite even though we had paid for one. the room was...

The directions to the place were a bit confusing at first, especially since the help desk at the main train station wasn't at all helpful. So my friends and I took a cab instead, which I recommend doing if you're traveling in a group of 3-4. If not, you would have to walk a tiring distance uphill from the local...

First Impression - we did not get a very warm welcome from the owners. In fact, throughout our stay of 4 days, we never once felt like we belonged there! Location - beware the uphill walk! If you are not made for walking or are not planning to drive, forget about staying here! Breakfast - erratic! Sometimes we get juice...

My husband and I are a young couple who were on vacation in Europe in June 2003. We decided to stay at Haus Lindner because it was cheaper than anywhere else we could find. We only planned to spend one night in Salzburg. BUT...when we got to Haus Lindner, we changed our minds!!! We had been so tired from train...
