The Bristol is a converted Bishops palace and offers small but authentically charming and comfortable rooms. We stayed at the front of the hotel, overlooking Mozart's house and towards the castle. Great views. There was no tea of coffee making facilities in the room, but of course you can order from room service, I think it was free of charge,...

My fiance and I have stayed a number of times at this fabulous Hotel since discovering it on a visit to Salzburg in December 2010 with my parents and I felt it was time we added to the wonderful reviews it receives. The Bristol has a warmth, tradition and style that we love. Small details like the complimentary chocolates left...

We stayed here for two nights in mid June 2012 and found the hotel was a fantastic place for exploring Salzburg and the area. The hotel is an older building, but appeared very well looked after and presentable. The rooms were spacious and had a charming decor. The only problem was the noise from a shop refurbishment downstairs, but the...

Its difficult to add to the wonderful reviews this family owned and run Hotel right in the heart of one of Austria's most pretty towns. We asked the receptionist whether to take a taxi to visit the home of Mozart. No, she replied, its just opposite, 100 metres away. The river is 300 metres. Everything is at your fingertips. The...

Right in front of bus stop along the main street. Wake up to church bells and bridge across to Old Town. Excellent services, spacious rooms and old world luxury. Mozart museum right at door step. Can't beat the location or services. Air conditioning in room (rarity in Europe) and heater in bathroom, heated towel bar. No English TV channel though....

So good to find a hotel of quality, and charm, within easy walking distance of the old town. The bedroom and en suite were spacious, beautifully furnished. Staff welcoming, and the food especially the breakfast could not be faulted.

5 star accomodation! Fantastic location, cross the bridge to Old Town. You can walk the entire town form this location. Amazing breakfast, everything you could want. Beautiful bathroom with a soaking tub! The view from our window was amazing especially at night! Air conditioning, what a treat and also drown out the sound of the church bells! We drove and...

This hotel is a gem. The whole place is beautifully decorated, and the rooms are unique. We stayed here with our 2 year old, and they could not have been kinder or more attentive to us. English is spoken throughout the hotel. The location is very central, and if you have kids, there is a massive park just behind the...

This should be your first choice, if not your only one. The hotel enjoys old charm, elegance, spacious rooms, a wonderful central location, a generous buffet breakfast and above all great professional and compassionate service. My elderly mother, husband and I stayed there during the month of July. My mother had just come out of the hospital for a break...
