We were pleasantly surprised with this small hotel right in the middle of town. The staff were friendly and we had a spacious room with a nice modern bathroom. Also came with free breakfast & enclosed parking! The small restaurant at the hotel was a cosy lovely spot.

The owners go above and beyond to make your stay nice here. Awesome restaurant and free breakfast spread. -1 in the rating because the 2 bedroom apartment was not as advertised. It was advertised as having 2 showers but only had 1. It has one bathroom with a shower and sink and another very tiny one with a toilet. It... More

We recently spent one night here on our way to the Wachau Valley and Vienna. The hotel is a well run family business and all of the staff we encountered could not have been more helpful or friendly. There was always someone who could speak English. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, comfortable and well maintained. We ate in... More

We staid with the family for 1 night during a Danube Cycle Tour. The hotel has good accomodation and a nice breakfast buffet. The restaurant is great with a lot of choice, also local dishes. It is visited by locals who have something to celebrate, so make your reservations. Most importantly, the service is outstanding - it included helping us... More

My husband and I recently spent one night in Melk and I had selected this hotel based on various reviews. We were not terribly impressed when we found ourselves in front of the restaurant area and couldn't see where the rooms might be, but upon check-in, we were delighted with the suite that I had reserved. The prices were reasonable... More

So the hotel is located in the old town of Melk. It is right in the middle of things. We had booked a suite that was next to and overlooking a small garden. The room was basic and the bathroom had a bidet but no bath tub. Amenities were less than basic, but they had a nice body lotion. The... More

We really like the hotel. Staff was nice and the included breakfast was very good. You can walk right to the Abbey and there are nice restaurants and shops close by. Great place to stay and be able to easily drive to other towns in the Wauchau valley. Only negative, there is no a/c and they didn't have any fans.... More

We stayed here one night and paid £123 for a double room with aircon and breakfast. Good room aircon. Located in the centre of town with fine views of the Stift Melk, the huge Benedictine Abbey. We had dinner here - Good quality local dishes with unflappable service. The room looked basic, but that is the Austrian style, but it... More

We stayed for two nights in this family run hotel. Our room had the view of the inner courtyyard restaurant if you were tall enough to look out of the small window. Facilities were basic but adequate. The place has the old time look and feel, perhaps kept deliberately so, to fit in with the surrounding ''Altstadt' . The building... More

First the positives: The junior suite we had booked was newly refurbished to a good standard and the room was very clean. The location in the centre of Melk is excellent for visiting the town and its monastery and for trips in the Wachau region. Less convincing is the overall style of the hotel which cannot quite decide which way... More
