This was a great hotel, we just can not find any fault. Very clean, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and even greater dinner. This was pricy but worth every cent. This hotel has that old grandeur of a traditional family-run hotel, but with all the modern commodities. Don't forget to use their swimming pool and sauna complex, it feels great after...

We had a junior suite in the new building, very modern and spacious. Beds were comfortable. Location is excellent for hiking and also walking distance to Echternach if you don't want to dine at the hotel. Major drawback was the huge fluctuation in water temperature from ice-cold to extremely hot, which made showering impossible, both in the evening and morning....

Overall, a very enjoyable two day stay at the Grand Hotel. From previous reviews, we expected old and a bit dated but that was not our experience. Well cared for and above all, exceptionally clean. Good big rooms, comfortable beds (but not great pillows - too soft). One drawback, the traffic noise from the main road. But keep windows closed...

Spend fews days hicking in "small switzerland" and stayed at the Grand Hotel. Everything here is "old fashionned" and it is really enjoyable, feeling like going back in the times in a nice hotel with my grand mother: real table dressing, traditional food of quality, very good affordable wines, nice "pousse café", good service. Also enjoyed the swiming pool, the...

Enjoyed our family mid-week half board stay. Our fam.room was spacious, with a separate room for our kids. The furniture is old (style), but not worn out. The room-wide carpets were a challenge for my dust allergy, nevertheless, all was clean. The spa facilities date from more then 10yrs ago, but are all well maintained. Don't expect state-of-the art. B'fast...

That's probably one of those hotels which used to be the top ages ago. The hotel is gine and has a touch of luxary. It's still rathe luxary, but it missed some upgrades like for example air conditionning. Wifi is available in the rooms but not at the pool which is a shame. Breakfast was great, and so did the...

The hotel is very imposing to look at with ample parking. We were upgraded to a junior suite, which was very spacious. The spa and pool looked excellent although we didn't use them. The staff were excellent and the hotel had a warm family feel to it. All the staff seemed to be able to switch between several languages! The...

“Inside the hotel = very quiet Outside (route de Diekirch) is rather busy. If you like to sleep with the window open it's better to chose a room on the backside. With the window closed it is no problem and there are rolling shutters too!”

“Rooms facing front have better views, but suffer from noisy traffic. Rooms at the rear have restricted views but are quitter. All rooms would benefit from air conditioning but are perfectly acceptable as is.”
