In principal the premises are almost like 5-star hotel level. But broken A/C and huge areas of mold in the living room roof tell their own story. So one star off. (They did fix the A/C very rapidly, though.) The other issue is the food (in the buffet). They have different topics on different days. But the basic dilemma is...

My fiance and I stayed at this hotel for four nights. Initially we were given a room with 3 beds, but there was mold in the bathroom. The lady from the reception gave us another room was more suitable. Overall the quality of the materials used in the room are cheap and does make it up for a five star...

The Palace seems for me the best hotel on Malta to sleep for the last night of a short trip to the island. After we've arrived, the receptionist told me that there will be two rooms reservated on my name and i have to pay for both. The problem should have been caused by booking.com - they should give me...

We just returned from a short break from Malta. Good: Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted with smiles and a welcome drink (a local cola). Although we were early, we were able to check in early. The concierge (Andrew) was extremely friendly and helpful. Good: We had paid for a Superior Room and were pleased with the size...

My daughter and I stayed a week at this hotel. We were on the 6th floor and had a good view of the sea. The day after we arrived we walked to Spinola bay, which is about a 25 minute walk. Unfortunately my sandal snapped. I bought some glue and asked one of the staff to translate the instructions. He...

I was 'upgraded' at extra cost which I thought was initially complimentary. The bathroom flooded, I had to call an engineer to fix a door. There were no electrical points in the room, except one for the kettle! I was given an extention cable so that I could connect my computer and phone. They changed my room! I reported that...

Good hotel, just off the main drag, ideally located for all the tourist trips and ferry to Valletta. Breakfast was ample and the staff friendly. Housekeeping was a bit up and down though, dirty mugs left, shower gel not replaced , missing towels etc. The pool on the top floor is only open during the summer months, so the only...

I can highly recommend the Palace Hotel. Their staff were great and helpful with a good attitude. I also had breakfast which was delicates; I ate it on the balcony with beautiful view. I also used facilities of the hotel: Spa, swimming pool and gym. I am picky regarding gym, but their gym was great. I had everything that was...

Stayed here for a week. Wouldn't recommend Sliema but if you stay there the Palace is a good hotel, though not 5 star in most countries. Staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are excellent- try the cakes even if cakes aren't your idea of breakfast.
