I just came to malta for few days, and so far am having a wonderful stay at the Days Inn, an in expensive 3 star in the heart of sliema. The hotel itself is nice, and clean, and has friendly staff who were ready to help in anyway we need.

The weather, is as expected absolutely gorgeous, although at times it gets a tad, too hot at times.

A nice thing about Malta is that most people speak english very well, so its easy to get any questions you may have answered

What really impressed us though was the vast amount of information we found about places to eat, to stay, where to visit ect while we were there.

This company findit have a website (www.findit.com.mt), which is basically a guide to everything in malta, from real estate agents to maltese restaurants. In fact one of the wonderful places it suggested was il-barri restaurant in Mgarr, which i thought was absolutely wonderful. A quaint little restaurant in the heart of a traditional maltese village, that served the most equisit horse meat, and Rabbit! I would personally suggest this restaurant to anyone!

I was also fortunate enough to find out what was going on, and was able to catch a samuel becket's Waiting for Goddot, which was in maltese but was still thoughly entertaining...

I still have a few more days here but i must say this is such an interesting little island... people should real take a second look at this little mediterrean gem!

The service is very poor at this hotel. They clean twice a week and if you tell them that something is dirty they don't care because the cleaning scedule can't change. We asked for one extra shower gel because it was over obviously after 2 days stay (remember no cleaning) and they refused to give us one. After a little fuzz they gave us two. We also asked for another towel because the one we had was ripped off and they didn't change it. Moreover the reception was sometimes rude and not helpful. It is cheap but i don't recomment it.

Dirty room, poor cleaning service, 3 days they haven't change our towels. If you are a student of 20 to 25 years old maybe it's ok but for our standards (me 40 and wife 33) this hotel was much below our expectations and needs. The location though was really good but we had rent a car and couldn't find free parking space nowhere nearby, we had to pay 10 euros per day in order to park. Breakfast is a joke, very very poor.

Our reservations was suppose to include a breakfast in their restaurant but when I booked the room they told me the restaurant was closed so we were not going to get the breakfast. I was disappointed but could live with that. Our first morning there we went down to the atrium to play some putt putt and noticed people eating in a room above the atrium. Turns out they serve a continental breakfast every morning. We discovered it at 10:15 and they stop it at 10 so were left with a few left ove3r items. The staff both on the phone and when we checked in neglected to tell us. Staff was very unpleasant, unhelpful and unprofessional that were working at the front desk. Makes for a very bad impression when you walk in. Most amenities they list are unavailable...no indoor pool, work out room, pool tables WiFi etc and the amenities they did have were not maintained and were dirty and broken (putt puitt games and outdoor pool.. The only positive thing was that room was clean and everything was very tidy but the one of the beds was broken and moved when you sat on it. An hour after leaving I dscovered I left a dress on the back of the bathroom door and of course they told me there was nothing there. For $89.00 a night I would steer clear of this place.

I'm in the hotel at moment, today we were in the kitchen and the Manager of the hotel arrives shouting, and when we ask for respect she answered that this was her hotel and she could do the things that she wanted in ber hotel, this's a Total lack of respect... Also the hotel is very dirty, there is a kitchen that every time is dirty, and only opes after 10 in the morning. The staff give a awful service. Unfortunately, I can go out because I paid before arrive here and they aren't going to give me back the money.

Arrived for a 2 night stay on 14th March 2014 the place was under renovation which was never mentioned whilst booking. a bit like a building site. Very dusty and noisy I was asked for a 30 Euro deposit for T.V.and Air Con remotes. So bad I decided not to stay there and moved to Preluna hotel, only thing in this hotels favour is its location. Staff were not very helpful. First time I havw been asked for deposit for remotes why they dont just give remotes on check in and advise that they must be reutrned on check out??.

The hotel is dirty and smells bad. The room are dirty and the pool even more! The staff is unfriendly and they steal you whatever they can. During the "cleaning" disappeared one copy of the key room I left inside and the receipt of the cash of the remote controls... I asked for the copy of the receipt the should have and at first they had it then it disappeared... so they didn't give my money back and said I could be a robber of controls... they so stole me 35 euro and I think I'm not the only one.
Never again days Inn worldwide

Response from Charmaine T, Manager at Day's Inn Hotel
Responded 10 Aug 2015
Dear Guest, I am very sorry to hear about your experience. I must underline that the hotel rooms are cleaned every day and even the hotel it self. The pool area is cleaned twice daily and the pool is monitored twice daily for all the chemicals needed to be kept in good maintenance. As for the receipt, it is the hotel policy that if you do not present the original receipt a refund cannot be given for the tv and ac remote control. I am also very sorry to read such comments that the staff steal thing when ever they can. Our employees are trust worthy people and if it was other wise they would never been employed with our company. Kind regards Charmaine Hotel Manager

I have been In this Hotel time ago. for about a Month. but my experience was horrible. I booked from booking.com, but once in the Hotel, they Make me pay by credit Card, Saying that wouldn't be charged in my account. And it Happen. I tried to contact with them thousand times, By mail and Phone. no Chance.

The Experience was bad. more like a Hostel. full of young people coming with internship programs, no restaurant, no services. and old kitchen where everybody can use.

Dirty, Noisy, unfriendly people, really old. didn't take care about it in a long time. few people was stolen at the time I was there.

Only Wifi at the Hall. and very poor

Looks like long time ago was good hotel. not anymore.

I've been lived there for one month and I think this hotel is good, but the room is not clean very well and the kitchen is terrible. Lot's of students from Asia, Europe and South America. Good place to meet interesting people and near to shops.
