Thanks to the staff at Hotel Fortina, Malta. This is probably the best location to get to Valletta (10 mins on a fast ferry) and yet is within easy walking to nice cocktail bars on Tower Road and lovely walk to St Julians Bay. Thanks to Serena on reception and her colleagues who deal so efficiently with everything. Top tip,...

Having read mixed reviews we were not expecting too much. Arrived late afternoon to a pleasant frontage looking across at Valletta, so close it looked like you could hit it with a stone. The reception area was very pleasant and we were quickly booked in. We were with Mercury Holidays and our room was upgraded, great. We were on the...

Let's get the positive points highlighted first; location fantastic and we were given a sea view room. For a short break we could not have wanted a better position. The bed was comfortable. Umm that seems to have that covered. We had requested a double bed but the room change from garden view to sea view meant two singles. The...

We stayed at Hotel Fortina for 4 days in February. Location wise superb, but otherwise very average. One night we spotted 2-3 small cockroaches in the bathroom. The Indian restaurant attached to the hotel was good. But it may get crowded , so pre booking is advised by the hotel itself. You can get a magnificent view of the Valetta...

Just back from a week at the Fortina. My friend and I had a lovely large room with a double bed each. It had a balcony and was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was nice although the plumbing can be challenging at times - but this is half expected in Malta! We ate at 3 of the hotels restaurants...

Thomson's bed and breakfast package. Good size double room, double bed each. Tea and coffee making facilities. Clean. Toilet flush troublesome, but that is the only complaint. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast, buffet style, plenty of choice. Ate at three of the hotel restaurants, all good. Used the small indoor pool and had a spa treatment, enjoyed both. The...

I am. Currently staying at the fortina hotel and it is absolutely fabulous. It is one of the best 'value for money' hotels I have ever stayed in. The food is excellent in the main buffet restaurant but their is also a choice of; Indian. Thai, Italian and Mediterranean restaurants at no extra charge. The staff are all so helpful...

I have never complained on trip advisor before but have learned a lot this six months, my wife and myself booked the holiday on recommendation of a friend of a friend who had stayed at Fortina Hotel when going to Malta, but it turned out it was six vears since they last went. We booked on line through Mercury Travel...

Just returned from 4 weeks stay in the Fortina and the quality of the evening meals has gone from good last year to very poor this year, the food is certainly not 4*.The breakfasts are ok. There are a lot of rumours going around the hotel that either the 4* will be pulled down at the later part of this...

Party of five stayed here in January 2017. We won't be returning. Our room was dated and dirty. We asked to change after paying for a superior room but we're told the hotel was full. There was a strong smell during the day coming into the room. All of us commented about it. Reception was informed but again the receptionist...
