Very friendly staff who couldn't be more accommodating. Food was lovely and arrived quickly. My room was just right and comfortable. Definitely would stay again. Local area lovely. Had plenty of places to visit. Good base for further travel in the south too.

Just got back from an overnight stay. I had a great time. The food was good, the room comfortable and clean the staff friendly and helpful. By the end of the stay I felt like I had been going there for years. Will stay again for sure.

I am not sure what place the bad review people stayed in as we stayed there and the food was delicious, the staff really helpful & friendly and the room was spotless and comfortable. It has the old village charm and is in beautiful surroundings. Nothing is too much trouble and the locals are also all very friendly and welcoming.

We expected so much more from this quaint old village with so much a history. From USA awe were excited to stay in a historic Inn, but the manager met us with a toothless grin, smelling of cigarettes, and begrudgingly took the cases up to the rooms. I had the front room overlooking the street, with a grotty mattress and...

The pub is located right in the village so you near chuches, the abbey, garden centre and shops. There are some nice walks as well. You are not far from Stubbington, Gosport, Fareham and Lee On The Solent. The pub is a bit scruffy but the rooms look nice.

Seeing family and friends over a weekend, we needed an overnight stay which was dog friendly. Warm welcome, friendly staff and shown to room 6 (which turned out to be the honeymoon suite!). Lovely room, fresh linen sheets, so quiet that we slept a full 10 hours. Personal service by the chef who cooked traditional full English breakfast was a...

We had a great quiz night in this lovely historic hotel/inn. Tim the manager was very professional and accommodating and John the chef laid on a sumptuous buffet which accompanied by a super quiz from Andy led to a super evening in their nice function room out the back. We had over 60 people comfortably seated for a great night...

Stayed here because a colleague's band was playing in their back room. Room was OK. Good view over the Square. Poorly decorated with a hole in the wall but clean. The room was above the bar and I went to see a rock covers band so I was not going there expecting an early, quiet night. Unfortunately piped music from...

Although the Bugle may have rooms and call itself a hotel, to say it has a restaurant is somewhat of an overstatement. This is no more that a small section of the bar. Service was chaotic, the food was below average pub grub, and the staff struggled to produce an accurate bill at the end. The gammon was thin and...

Look - sadly the welcome was non existent. One young lad tried to be professional but is clearly surrounded by staff who really have no clue about hospitality and service. We were locked in until 8.45 am when a fellow guest let me out. In all fairness they did ask what time I was checking out and I said about...
