My partner and I were delighted with our choice. The building is steeped in history, and full of charm. Roaring fires in oak panelled reception rooms create a cosy atmosphere, a welcome respite from the cold outside. The owners provide a guide to the house, which explains amongst other things, the background of the many portraits that hang on the...

Wonderful location in quiet, rural Devon. Historic building, and rooms, enhanced by numerous open fires. Staff were are excellent - thoughtful, interested, and very efficient. Food, especially dinner, was top class. Value for money was surprisingly good.

Just had one night here for a birthday en-route and had a wonderful stay. The place is a real country house verging on stately home full of interest and antiques. Lovely grounds to safely walk our dog too. The room was huge and lovely views. We ate dinner with the package and could not believe the quality and flavours, the...

Lewtrenchard Manor seems to be tucked away in the middle of nowhere as it is so silent, only the birds seem noisy! In fact it is only a few miles from the main A30 road. The generous staircase led up to the room I had which was massive, as was the bed in it, with nice views over the countryside....

We stayed on New Year's eve for one night only to see in the New Year. Everything, except wines, was included in the price so we had afternoon tea on arrival, a champagne reception with canapes before dinner, a six course dinner, dancing to a fantastic band, champagne and haggis at midnight, breakfast the next day, clay pigeon shooting and...

Stayed for a couple of nights after Christmas. This is a friendly and historic house which is a relaxing place to be. Special mention for the excellent food produced by Matt and Tom. It is really world class at sensible prices. It is rather too easy to relax after dinner in front of a huge log fire and quaff The...

Having visited Lewtrenchard Manor several times this year, I can only say it gets better with every visit! The rooms are super comfortable, nothing but nothing is ever too much for the staff who are always courteous yet friendly. The food is excellent (and being vegetarian I really appreciate the extra mileage to produce an equally delicous menu as my...
