Our package price (stayed 5-6 May) was SGD223 for a Sulap Twin so it was pretty expensive but understandable because it was close to 2 hours away from KK and another boat ride away. You are welcomed with a nice cold ice lemon tea and a friendly staff who will show you the map of the island when you arrive....

They don't provide electricity at day time. That's mean we didn't have hot water to shower after snorkeling or diving. And won't have fan at day time. They said everyday have three times go to snorkeling but it's not true. They don't have enough boats to do snorkeling or diving. I thought they are diving lodge must...

Was nice once, but has gone shabby. Very basic, bordering on grubby. All worn out. Decent beach, good sunset, reasonable snorkelling but nothing great. Not worth paying for a dive. Walked down the beach to the "Chinese" resort. Grim.

The rooms are thread bare , we had a family of rats in the roof that kept us awake all night and fleas in the bed that covered us in bites ... No mosquito net or aircon and lumpy pillows. The food was horrific and seriously overpriced , there is no alternative on the island so it is a big...

Mari Mari Backpackers is over priced and not worth your money. The accommodation is terrible - there are rats in the roof and fleas in the bed. The pillows are lumpy and the beds are uncomfortable. The food and drinks are overpriced. The food is horrible and there are no other options on the island. The island is full of...

I swear I'm not precious, but this place is the definition of what happens when you have a great idea to put a backpacker lodge on a sandy white beach with cool traditional accomodation and then you stop giving a toss. This place would have been great a few years ago but now it's expensive for what you get and...

Mantanani is a beautiful island with white sandy beach. And to me Mari Mari Mantanani Backpackers Lodge is situated on the best stretch of the island. The cabins (or Sulaps) are pretty much very basic with minimal furniture, a fan and there is no TV.The electricity runs from 6.30pm till 6am so it will get hot once they cut off...

All is good enjoying the nature, the white beach and the blue crystal sea water. this island Just make you forget about the sad world we living in and...

We spent 7 days and 6 nights at Mari Mari backpackers just over a week ago, July 2016. Group of 2 families, with 4 kids aged 8-12. We were supposed to stay 6 days and 5 nights but due to bad weather the boat could not come from the mainland to pick us up. When the boat finally came the...

Everything is just ok in this place. Is really lacking personality. Too expensive for what you get. If you want to visit the island (which is very nice) I strongly recommend to explore the home stays in the village. Cheaper and certainly more interesting.
