Great hotel. Very clean. Food excellent. Black sand beach nearby. Great place to stay if your going to see glaciers.
Walls are thin bring earplugs. Happy hour half price drinks.
Store and gift shop just a walk away. This is Iceland. If it’s fluffy towels you want stay home.

New Hotel, ultra modern. Amazingly comfortable beds. Restaurant has a limited menu but widely varied with lamb, seafood or vegetarian choices. Spectacular mountain views in back of the hotel and a great burger brewpub nearby for scouters.

We did not stay in the main hotel rooms because of cost and selected one of the outdoor cottages which also were expensive and basic in all ways. They were very small with the minimal facilities if you could call them by that name. The hotel restaurant was OK but expensive.

Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed all the amenities of the Icelandic Hotel Vik as well as Hotel Edda as they are joined. As we were snowed in for a day we loved the comfortable seating by the lobby fireplace. Staff couldn't have been nicer, the rooms were warm and welcoming ... breakfa

Hi do you have any disabled friendly rooms, with a walk in shower and extra room for a wheelchair user ?
Hello, we have a room that is located close to the main entrance and is suitable for wheelchair users. But I would recommend booking a wheelchair accessible room in the adjacent Icelandair Hotel, as they are larger and better suited for all needs.

Do the guest rooms come with hairdryers?
yes, they hotel did have hairdryers in the room... also, eat at the café across the street for great priced and decent food... we were there in June, and we walked along the beach, all the way to the right (toward the cliffs) and we saw several hundred puffins both floating in the water and nesting on the cliffs...

Approx. cost of dinner please
Depends what you eat. Can't completely recall but with a glass of wine, an appetizer & main course & coffee it was about $100 for 2 of us. Eating out in Iceland is not cheap.

Hello, the maximum number of beds in the cottage is three. Two beds are regular, one is roll-away.

Ciao io a marzo soggiornarò a vik volevo sapere se in questa zona ci sono buone possibilità di vedere l' aurora boreale? Grazie
Sinceramente non so. Dipende da troppi fattori. Certo la zona è abitata e quindi meglio fare qualche chilometro per allontanarsi dalla cittadina, anche se le case, e quindi l'inquinamento da luce è basso. Ti auguro comunque di vederla! buon viaggio.
