We stayed in the brand new section, room 199. The room was very nice and spacious. The door opened up to the parking lot so easy to load and unload. The view from the office and restaurant is gorgeous of the beaches. After not finding a place to eat in Vik, we went to the hotel's restaurant but it was...

Hotel Dyrholaey is set high on a hill - seems like every room has either a mountain or ocean view and both are sensational. The rooms are spotless and overall presentation is excellent. There's a large dining area which usually indicates a place where tour buses stop. And that is the case here. It's certainly not a negative. Meals are...

This is a great hotel out in the country area with beautiful views. Sheep were wandering around in front of mountains at your back door. IT has separate wings and we were in a newer area and walked to the restaurant main reception area for dinner/breakfast.

Nice clean, tidy rooms. Our room had not much view, but the views from the dining room were spectacular. Were really late arriving (10pm) so rang ahead, and they arranged for toasted sandwiches to be made available. Thank you, there are not many alternatives round here!! Breakfast bacon & sausages as well as normal icelandic cold fare.

The room was spacious and comfortable. There was a full bathtub as opposed to most other Icelandic hotels where there is just a shower. The wifi was strong and worked in the room as well as public areas. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff was very friendly.

Stayed here as part of a small tour group. It is a hotel catering for tour groups but one of the better ones in We stayed in Iceland. It is out of Vik which is a disadvantage but the view is spectacular regardless of what side of the complex you stay on. The rooms are large and well appointed with...

We had booked two rooms, well in advance, before our stay. One normal room and one specially designed for wheelchair users. When we arrived the only wheelchair user room were given to another person, and the room we got was not adapted. Which caused some problems during our stay. The staff were friendly and really helpful, and adapted the room...

Spacious comfortable room, finished well, with nice bathroom. The decor was quirky, especially in the communal areas, but I liked it. The continental breakfast was good, and the staff friendly and helpful. However it did feel like a stop off for coach tours, and they were obviously expanding, the block we stayed in was clearly new, and there was evidence...

The hotel feels a bit basic and the decor is rather strange. However our room was clean and comfortable. We had a nice view of farmland from our window. We thought the price of the buffet dinner very high so ate out in the town which is about ten minutes drive away. There was plenty of variety in the breakfast...

First off, Vik is a BEAUTIFUL place! You must visit there. If it wasn't for the fact that the hotel was booked through my tour company, I probably would have chosen some place else. The hotel/motel reminded me of large mobile homes pieced together and seemed more of a temporary house type structure than anything else. When we arrived, the...
