2 nights here was sufficient. The hotel is centered perfectly however it needs some fixing up especially the rooms needs new paint also the bath rooms. The reception is pretty Dark as Well and a little to 80`ties in the deco.
The service is Nice and the breakfast is good.

Right in the center of town. An old charming building from 1919, nice from the outside but the inside is a bit sterile and the rooms need some refreshing. Breakfast is expensive and every day the same. Eggs are prepared in advance and overcooked. Assistance at the reception is OK

Beware! If you book a "standard" room you can take the lift to your floor But then you need to go down 7 stairs with your suitcase to actually access your room. Not exactly disabled access.
The rooms are in the eves of the hotel so the roof slopes down into the room. "So what" yo

It is an old hotel so an unusual hotel layout. Lifts but you still had to walk up 2 steps through heavy doors to enter the hotel and then 7 steps with a suitcase to get to my room. No help offered even though my friend and I are well over 60. We booked the holiday together but sh

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We arrive 7am and they were trying to get rooms clean and we got checked in by 9:30am. The room are clean and the bed, pillow and blanket was very comfortable. The breakfast was average but it was enough for a small hotel.

I noticed there is no parking at hotel but there is street parking. How easy or hard is it to park nearby? We are going to be hiring a car.
Dear Alison, there is street parking on either side of the hotel but the availability changes from day to day. some days are harder to find parking nearby but there is usually something not too far away. There are also a few parking garages nearby that we can direct you to if you are unable to find street parking. best regards. /Antonio

Can anyone tell me if this is located in the centre? I’d ideally like short walking distance for the heart of the city / excursion picks ups
Hi! Yes the hotel is located in the middle of downtown and is within a short walking distance to most attractions, bars, restaurants and museums. Best regards. /Antonio Front desk.

anyone stayed in a triple delux room was the 3rd bed suitable for a tall adult for a week?
Hi we stayed in a triple room with a bed large enough for our 6'4" son. We did specify this when booking so maybe that would be the best thing to do.

Restaurant Reccomendation: Hi my wife and I are celebrating our silver wedding anniversary whilst staying at the 1919 Hotel. Anyone got recommendations for a suitable restaurant (good food, great ambience, not too pretentious) within walking distance from the hotel? Thanks in advance, Nigel
Tapas barinn (tapas.is) is a good place and we went there and enjoyed. We are vegetarians and they had plenty of food for us to eat!
