Friendly staff, great and plentiful breakfast. Rooms a bit tired but warm and clean with nice hot powerful shower. Close to restaurants and shops. The theatre is close too. Great location but could do with a little upgrade

We stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were assigned a room with a great view overlooking the ocean. The staff at the reception were extremely knowledgeable & gave us some good tips for our Golden circle tours etc. They had some great recommendations on the local restaurants & things to do & see in Reykjavik... Stayed two separate nights - one each at start and end of my trip. The first night was in a beautiful room on second floor. Sloping ceiling, tastefully decorated, carpeted, TV, etc. Very comfortable. When I returned I was given a room on the first floor. This appeared to be normally used as a family type room I think as... More

Stayed here Oct for 4 nights, room spacious warm and comfortable. Fridge, Tea and coffee in room. Bathroom good and clean, plenty of hot water. There is a sulphur smell with hot water but you get used to itt. Could do with some more storage for clothes in the room. Breakfast was very good, the waffle maker was very popular,... More

Following very disappointing Foss Hekla experience, we gave Foss (based on Foss Eastfjords) another chance. Hmm, nod bad, nod excellent......... Very friendly staff, good beds, again too little space in the bathroom for amenities; guess for true comfort in a Reykjavik Hotel, one has to go high end pricing, i.e. 200 euro+ Comfortable was the possibility of free parking, even... When we arrived at the Fosshotel Baron I was surprised to hear they were awarding us with an extra large room due to the fact it was our honeymoon. The room was fantastic. It was large with a separate sitting area and a kitchen. The bathroom was updated with a large shower, and the view of the harbor was unspoiled.... More

Very good location, right in front of 24/7 shop. Beautiful views. 5 min walk from the center. The breakfast was great! Staff were very accommodating - advised us on many trips and could book it through reception. Its old fashioned but we didn't have any issues - we felt very safe and warm. Would recommend.

If you are looking for a cheap hotel located in the centre of Reykjavik, this hotel is the right option. Friendly staff, decent breakfast just next to main bus station and the Main Street for bar and restaurant. It's only a 3 stars and that's what is worth Old bathrooms, tired room furniture... Not the best place for a romantic... More
