Nice and clean hostel with private bathroom. Very comfortable beds. Good kitchen. Very friendly staff. Only downside is the distance to the center (30 min walk or 10 min by bus). I recommend the pool next door, it is cheap and a nice way to relax.

The hostel was really inviting. The front desk really knew their stuff and was very helpful in getting us information about the city and a bus back to the airport. The kitchen there was fantastic and had everything to make a good meal. The rooms were small but good for what they were and very clean. The hostel also served...

Stayed here for 4 nights in october and had a great time. Nice clean dorms, nice common room, free wifi and a good location next to laugardalslaug swimming pool. There are also serveral places to eat within a 10 minute walk and a supermarket nearby. The price is also cheap for Reykjavik. I would recommend this place is you are...

Stayed one night in camp grounds with an RV. Amenities are extensive although had to walk over to hostel to do some laundry. Reception staff at camp ground are very helpful. If you like being with a lot of people this is the place to stay. Far to busy for us so we only lasted one night. Ideal for the...

This campsite is amazing - I can't fault it. The staff were friendly and helpful, it's got a large fully equipped kitchen, lots of free hot showers, very reasonably priced at 1700 isk per night (cyclists get a 10% discount), free wifi and large courtyard area ideal for bbq's or eating outside on a sunny day. They offer storage too...

The best and cheapest option you will find inside the 40 motorway that surrounds Reykjavik. Its incredibly social atmosphere will allow you to freely share Icelandic experiences with fellow backpackers. A great place to stop over for a few nights.

I flew in to Reykjavik in June of 2015 as my first stop on a solo trip around the world. I purposely did not plan out any of the details for my stay and just decided to see what would happen. A few few guys on the shuttle mentioned that they were staying here at City Hostel. I saw that...

The hostel itself was very nice. Staff was accommodating, rooms were clean and had their own toilets. We had to get up and leave for a flight at 5:30 and they made special arrangements for us to have breakfast before we left. The living arrangements in the hostel were perfect. The downside is location. It was quite a hike into...

If you are visiting Iceland be prepared to spend. While the hostel was expensive in comparison to other hostels around Europe it was by far the cheapest I could find in Reykjavik. Staff and facilities are great. A lot of school visits happening while I was there so a lot of noise in the evenings.. But this is to be...
