We just stayed for a long weekend. We were lucky to get an upgrade into one of the bigger rooms. Given the decent price, also the buffet breakfast was fine - certainly enough to eat! Staff was very friendly and helpful! A 20 minutes walk into the pedestrian zone.

Hotel has a lovely welcoming atmosphere , staff extremely helpful and friendly, rooms compact but clean and towels changed daily. Only negative was the pillows!!! They were so flat . If you have room bring your own. Breakfast buffet continental but nice and decent variety. I would stay here again but bring my own pillow. Fab time and a big...

The rooms are very small so would recommend getting an upgrade which we did. It takes about 20 minutes to walk into the city along the sea front which we really enjoyed but probably wouldn't be suitable for everyone and could be very cold! Would not recommend eating in the hotel other than breakfast as the food wasn't great. There...

Let this be a warning for people that are looking to book a package through Icelandair. They just bundle flights/hotels/excursions without doing any reasonable thinking if the flight times and hotel check in times are compatible. So be sure your flight arrives at a time which allows you to check in. We made the mistake in thinking that our flight/hotel/excursions...

This is a basic hotel, but when you are spending only a few days in Iceland that factor is not a high priority. We booked a twin bedroom, which was small but clean, and the beds comfortable. The shower/toilet room, was adequate, and of course with a constant supply of thermal hot water what more do you need. The reception...

Hotel Cabin is a short bus ride away from Downtown Reykjavik so not as central as it sounds. The hotel and staff are lovely however, the rooms are tiny! They resemble a cabin on a ship and hardly any storage space for clothes and cases. There are upgrades available and I would definitely recommend anyone who is staying for longer...

The Cabin hotel is 20 mins easy walk into the city centre and is located in a picturesque area. The standard rooms are very basic and we had no hesitation in upgrading to deluxe with a sea view. In November this only cost £50 extra for the three nights. It was a much better room. We had to pay for...

We had "upgraded" our room for $25 more, but found the upgraded room fairly cramped, and what really irked us was the fee-cost for internet. Ownership/management need to get with the program on this. This was a "deluxe" room and there was still a fee-requirement to pay for the web service. Of course we didn't pay it at an inconvenience....

Well, after reading a previous review, I wondered whether I was in a different hotel. I booked this for my husband's birthday via Travelzoo. I read negative comments about this hotel and wished I had booked another.I even emailed the hotel directly mentioning that is was my husbands birthday and that I was concerned about the room. We were very...
