So we stayed at the Cabin hotel for 4 nights... Rooms: The standard twin room is extremely small, so small we had to push both our cases under the bed to have room to walk around. The rooms are not sound proof and you can hear everything from outside the windows and the neighbouring rooms coughing/talking. The beds don't get...

Dear ellen_willsx, Thank your for your review and for your stay. As we mention on our website; our standard rooms are indeed small, but very cozy and comfortable. Each standard room is about 10 square meters with two single beds. We are sorry if the room did not meet your standards. You do have the option of booking a deluxe...

Our room had no window and a very small television perched on top of a wardrobe. No hair dryer, no way to change heating and overall very basic. However, as a budget room it was okay and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful but with a lack of anything cooked. We enjoyed our brief stay but would...

Our group stayed here for a 3-night break in March16. The hotel is well positioned by the bay. Yes the rooms are very small. We had parking for our 2 hire cars. The staff are all friendly (but not overpowering in-your-face so) and happy to help you with questions or issues which are dealt with efficiently. I would consider stay...

Friendly staff that treat you like you are at a much higher starred hotel. Basic rooms that are very comfortable with on site travel center. I was there for the snow storm (51cm) and only a few housekeepers were able to get in. Those worked hard and cleaned the entire hotel WELL! Dedicated - and they had a smile on...

Very small and basic room, but it was clean and very warm. A little too warm to be honest. Slept really well once I had got used to 2 single beds pushed together. The one half of the bed was really comfortable. The shower was lovely albeit very small...ie you could barely turn round inside the cubicle, but was clean...

Friendly staff and good basic hotel. Rooms were warm and comfy. After a heavy snow fall (51cm in one night) this hotel was about 30 walk from the city centre. Lunch buffet was filling, although not much variety apart from a salad buffet.

We travelled (me, wife, daughter & son-in-law) to Iceland on a special Icelandair package, to do the main touristy/bucket list things - Golden Circle, Northern Lights - and stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel Cabin. I had read a number of reviews on Tripadvisor before we left, and it is VERY basic. Rated on its own website as 2*...

The hotel is about a half hour walk from the city center, so it's great, if you want to be away from it. Small rooms and small beds, but who's going to stay in their rooms, in Reykjavik?! Good breakfast, friendly people and free wifi!

You get what you pay for. Good location in regard to the centre of town. Restaurants/bars/shops etc. They are very tight in the rooms. We have a twin room and there's just enough room to fit down either side of the beds. The main thing is that it is warm.
