Hotel Cabin is a modern hotel designed for the modern traveler and equipped with all the facilities that a modern traveler needs. Our main policy has always been, to offer travelers visiting Reykjavík comfortable and economic accommodation right in the heart of the city. The Standard rooms are the cheapest accommodation we have to offer and as the name implies they are very basic but comfortable. The Superior rooms are bigger and come with a bathtub with a shower and refrigerator. The Superior rooms with a view are all on the hotel´s 7th floor and offer a magnificent view of the city or the ocean. They come with a free wireless internet, a refrigerator, a tea- and coffee maker and a hairdryer. The hotel is excellently located within a walking distance from the city center as well as the Laugardalur area.

Hi simply126, Thank you for your review. First we want to apologize for the hairs on your bedding lines and on your towel. This is obviously something we need to fix and we will do that. Your room tip regarding the standard rooms is correct, our standard rooms are small or about 10m2. Cabin is a budget hotel with budget prices but we do offer the possibility to upgrade. Breakfast is always included in the prices and being a budget hotel we might not have quite as much selection. With that being said, we try our best to offer something for every one and we also offer early breakfast for those leaving after 03 am. This hotel offered us everything we wanted; a low cost, a clean hotel room with wifi, a delightful breakfast.a short walk to the sea and amenities. The staff were all extremely accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

I have Coeliac disease and so can’t eat wheat, barley or rye. I’m wondering if the breakfast available offers gluten free options? Similarly, if we were to have the salad bar for lunch/dinner would this include gluten free options? Thank you in advance
I don't think they have gluten free products. I am gluten intolerant too and crazy as this sounds, I carry gluten free bread and products when I travel. I ask my doc for a note so Im safe and it has worked for me as I don't want to end up sick on a trip. At this hotel the serving staff don't know much as most of the soups come from reconstituted ingredients and I couldn't read the labels which the kitchen staff gave me as it was in Icelandic. I have an egg allergy so its super important for me to find a grocery store close by to my hotel and shop for my own meals. Hope this helps you. But email the hotel and see if they can reply to you. This is just my observation.

Hi . How far is it from the airport ?
It’s just outside the centre of Reykjavik so it’s the first drop off if you go via bus/shuttle. Reykjavik is 40-45mins from the airport.
