Good location. Breakfast was sufficient. The shower should have a handle to grab onto. The room needs to have a few more shelves for clothes also a few shelves above the toilet as there isn't enough room for the toiletries. The staff was cordial.

The hotel is in a great location in the middle of downtown. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. I noticed that one reviewer said the hotel is a bit like a hostel and I would agree with that but it is still charming. Breakfast is in a lovely sunny room and was a continental breakfast. However the choice was...

Centerhotel Skjaldbreid is an adorable hotel in the middle of downtown. It is halfway in between Parliament Square and Hallgrimskirkja Church, a short walk from each. A block or two from the Handknitting Center, Odin's Square, and a small supermarket, locations don't get any better. You can walk anywhere in town and if you want to leave town the staff...

We really liked this hotel - it's located smack bang in the centre of Reykjavik within walking distance of everywhere. The downside to this is that it's on a busy street which comes with a certain amount of noise - worse at the weekend. However, we asked in advance for a quieter room, not facing the main street, and it...

Strong points for this hotel were 1) an exceptionally hospitable and kind staff, 2) very nice, abundant breakfast in a lovely room, 3) location in the heart of Reyjkavik. The rooms were clean and satisfactory with very comfortable beds. Low points: 1) Friday and Saturday night street noise (you might as well just join the party! Sunday was peacefully quiet,...

Why? Because you are paying as for a hotel, but staying in a hostel. The entrance to the "hotel" is on the side of the building with steps up, and then you need to carry your luggage one more flight up inside of the building to enter to a small room "lobby" where you will get you coffee in the...

We stayed here for four nights, very helpful and friendly reception staff - during our stay we misplaced our room key and this was dealt with in a very efficient manner. The location is great, right in the main street of Reykjavik, lots of bars, shops and restaurants all very close by. We stayed in Room 411, top floor, facing...

This hotel was not our first choice based on reviews. We had booked to stay at the Centerhotel Arnarhvoll but when we arrived were told they were overbooked and had to be transferred to their sister hotel, CenterHotel Skjaldbreid. I understood the reason was that another group had extended their stay, overstaying their original booking, meaning we had to move....

I rarely ever write reviews, but this hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms themselves are average (clean/beds comfy/hot shower) but the service is what makes this hotel different. Tony was so nice to speak to, as were all of the staff. The breakfast is also really great! The location is right in the center of town - with easy access...

We stayed in the Skjaldbreid hotel as part of a package holiday. The hotel is simple, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is continental style buffet with a range of breads, cheese, ham and cereals. Hot drinks are available up until 9 pm free of charge. Great location in centre Reykjavik... However, because this hotel is central on a Thursday night...
