Location is the best part of this place...you are steps away from great food & shopping. Walking distance to many attractions and pick-up point for tours. We traveled as a family and had 2 rooms on the 4th floor. Our room was a double bed, comfortable and just enough room for us and our stuff. Boys room was 2 twin...

Really nothing wrong with this place if you're going for a standard 2-star experience. Rooms are very small. It's impossible to navigate the bathroom without bumping into things. Linens are acceptable but nothing more than that. No toiletries provided other than a large container of hand soap. There is a lift in this 4-floor establishment but it doesn't kick in...

The hotel is situated right on the main shopping street of Reykjavik so everything is within easy walking distance. The staff were extremely friendly and pleasant and all spoke English well, as do all Icelanders. I stayed in room 201 which is the closest room to the small reception area and stairs. There was quite a lot of noise on...

We booked this hotel as part of a Northern Lights package tour that included airfare, lodging, and a tour in July for travel in November. We had several hotels to chose from so we researched them all and booked this one due to it's location. 6 days prior to our departure we were contacted via e-mail that the hotel had...

Located very centrally. But definitely question 4 star rating. No restaurant except breakfast, no bar, to access elevator, have to climb about 8 steps, 3 of which are in the street and very steep. Cruise ship shower stalls are bigger than the ones in this hotel, room very small and basic. Night club is next door to hotel, and open...

Visited the Center Hotel for 4 nights during November 2016. We arrived in the early hours of the morning where the receptionist checked us in quickly. The room was small but was clean, tidy and well equipped. The breakfast although limited was fantastic value for money. If you are looking for a hotel with friendly staff and a central location...

A smallish hotel right in the centre of downtown Reykjavik. You go out the front door and you're right there amongst shops, bars and restaurants and only a short walk to the breathtaking "Hallgrimskirkja" church, or head in the other direction (and a bit further) to the harbour. The hotel is basic but adequate. Our room, 304, was on the...

Just came back from a mini break to Reykjavik and stayed at the Skjaldbreid, the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The location is brilliant, I much preferred the downtown area of the city and there are some brilliant restaurants close by. The rooms are basic but the beds are super comfy and you have everything you need.

Located right in the heart of Reykjavik which was very convenient and allowed us to be central for food, drink and sightseeing. Pickups for excursions also meant we were picked up outside the front door which was again ideal, and the hotel itself was simple but of a high standard. Room was on the small side however had everything we...

We have just spent 5 nights at this hotel and were very pleased. The rooms aren't the biggest but they do have everything you need, comfortable beds, nice bed linen, very good shower with plenty of hot water. Tea making equipment and a mini fridge to keep your beers cold. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location is...
