We visited the Grand hotel in Reykjavik in the first week of January. Very nice clean hotel with helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. We ate breakfast daily in the hotel with was nice and a good selection. Hotel has some nice touches like lots of fires and fire pits, candles and lights making it welcoming and cosy. The only problem...

The overall service from the hotel was excellent. They helped arrange all of our excursions, they provided us with top-ups on coffee, shampoos etc at our call, they were overall very helpful. The rooms were kept clean and modern, the TV even had a range of English TV channels which is usually a rarity. The free hotel breakfast was great,...

Nice clean modern hotel this. Well situated in the outskirts of Reykjavik and an excellent base from which to explore Iceland. Good parking, excellent breakfasts and clean, well-appointed rooms. Recommended. Only downside is that it is a little way from Reykjavik city centre, so will need either a taxi or a long walk to get into the city. Otherwise perfect.

So the hotel is lovely, based outside the town however a 5 minute taxi ride and you are there. Our room was a lovely size and the views were amazing. We had a rainfall shower and a bath which was great. The one thing that let this Hotel down was check in. Having arrived at 1pm to the hotel we...

Visited here in November with my girlfriend, breakfast was good, evening menu was a little on the minimum side but we were eating out anyway and staff were very helpful, although on the first night we asked a receptionist how much a taxi to the city centre was and were told taxis from the hotel were free but we got...

The reception team are friendly, helpful and efficient and are happy to help you book transfers if needed. The hotel is quite well located for trips and the coaches are able to drop you right outside the entrance, where as city hotels have drop off points due to the narrow streets. The rooms themselves are fairly basic but clean and...

This is a great place to stay, but it's not as close to downtown as many of the other comparable options. It's a big, conference style hotel with all of the amenities, including a gym and spa. The gym was great to use - clean and quiet for me. It was a bit annoying that they won't do a complimentary...

Introduction: Good, modern (ish) hotel with comfortable rooms. Reception staff very helpful, especially Karolina who looked after us when we arrived early from the airport. Large, open atrium, with adjoining bar and restaurant. Rooms: Twin beds, with single quilts and hardwood floors. The floors weren't cleaned enough though, so our feet got dirty walking around and messed up the sheets...

I had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel! Lobby: The lobby area is beautiful and modern. The reception desk was kind and quick to check me in and out without a long wait time. They have a mini-bar of sorts (snacks, drinks, skyr!!) in the front area for purchase, which was easy and useful. Breakfast: The spread is excellent...
