Hotel Holt is in the best location for walking to the sights. The hotel itself is warm and cosy, the art and decoration and leather sofas made it even more special. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. Breakfast was great, bacon and scrambled eggs for us brits and also continental stuff, great all round. The room had everything you...

Hotel Holt is located in one of the nicest residential locations and easy walking distance to Hallgrimskirkja church and the two major shopping streets, Bankastraeti and Skolavoroustigur. The rooms are small but comfortable, the breakfast is very good, the staff is friendly and incredibly helpful in arranging and rebooking tours, and the public spaces are very welcoming. The bar and...

Was here in late September. Hotel was lovely. Not much to look at from front and olde olde inside at reception area. Room/suite on second floor was really comfortable. Breakfast had all the usual choices. Would recommend this hotel. Very central fro walking around.

Stayed here for a few nights on a recent trip. The hotel is centrally located, short walk to attractions, museums, shopping, restaurants, bank, and tourist info center where you can book excursions. It's on a quiet street just a couple of blocks off one of the main streets in the city. The hotel is lovely, filled with Icelandic art. The...

The hotel was very comfortable, the room was nice and the staff very friendly and the breakfasts amazing. It was easy to walk to all the downtown sites and restaurants from the hotel. Make sure you ask the staff to wake you if you want to see the Northern Lights, sadly we did not get the call and missed them,...

Spent first 2 nights of Iceland trip here and have nothing negative to say. Room good size, friendly staff, all toiletries you could need are provided (inc toothpaste!) and good breakfast selection to set you up for the day. Really good location too and walkable to everything you'd want to see/visit.

We stayed at Hotel Holt for 2 nights on our recent trip to Iceland. The location is perfect - it's a very short walk to all of the central attractions, but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Also there is free parking which I am not sure all hotels offer, and that was key for us since we went out...

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. We had a very nice sized suite on the back side of the hotel so it was very quiet--except when the restaurant employees were leaving. Since the weather was pleasant we had our windows open and they were hanging out talking, laughing, and smoking. It went on for...

We stayed three nights in this hotel. Very, very nice. Fantastic art collection tastefully displayed all over the hotel from a private donor. Very comfortable, upscale atmosphere. Exceptional front desk assistance. The rooms are spotless, well furnished, have good bathroom amenities. The breakfast buffet is excellent with scrambled eggs and bacon which we Americans love. Great location near the gorgeous...

Nice and small hotel (42 rooms) that is very well located: close to the city center but in a quiet area. The hotel has an impressive art collection and extremely helpful staff together with an art historian working in the reception (who will gladly give you more information about all the paintings). We have also tried the restaurant - delicious!
