Decent hotel option for staying in Isafjordur only if other hotels are booked. My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms are small since they are used as dorm rooms for boarding school students during the rest of the year. However, the rooms are clean, but WiFi is only available in the lounge/lobby area. The location of...

Hotel Edda is a great chioce for a hotel in the westfjords. A short walk from Isafjordur City Centre with a few shops, restaurants and bakeries. The breakfast was decent with several choices of bread, cereal and fruit. We were in a room with shared bathrooms, where both the shower and the toilets of the women's bathroom were clean and...

I know that Edda hotels are hotels only in the summer and boarding school other year. As the prices of Edda hotels are the usual hotel prices, I think, however, that one must be able to make certain demands of the standard. Edda Hotel Isafjordur not meet my pretty reasonable requirements. We chose a double room with private bath and...

Loved this hotel, made me wish I had checked out the Edda chain elsewhere in Iceland. I had a private room / bathroom, and it was very modern and clean. The bed is very comfortable, and the curtains do a pretty good job blocking the overnight light, so was a good sleep. One small knock is that the wifi is...

We stayed for a night at this hotel with shared bathroom. We should have selected a private bathroom instead. No wifi in the room only in the lobby area, which was inconvenient. Room size is ok. Hotel located in a short drive distance from the downtown area.

Great room with really comfortable bed. Everything very clean. Excellent location and a good breakfast. Some noisy plumbing disturbed our sleep, and there is no wifi in the rooms. Wifi in the lobby not always great either. Also the kitchen area is a bit chaotic. We were told we could get tea & coffee in the dining area anytime but...

This is only a hotel in the summer months when it's not being used as student accommodation. So you have to judge it by those standards. Having said that, the room was clean and comfortable with a small bathroom. It's sparsely furnished but the beds are comfortable and we slept well. So if you don't want the trappings of a...

It's a typical three star hotel and by Icelandic standards provides enough value for the 140 euro spent for a night in a room with a private bathroom. The room was very clean, the two things that I would improve: 1. put a kettle in the room (something that you always expect in Iceland) 2. provide a real double bed,...

This is a boarding school used as a hotel in the summer. Not an uncommon thing in Iceland as we discovered. Still, it was perfect for our needs. The rooms was clean and the front desk receptionist was polite and helpful. They even had a hair dryer for my wife. If you're just looking for a place to sleep after...

This hotel feels dated from the moment you set food in it. Your first contact with this hotel is carrying your suitcases up some stairs at the entrance. Why nobody thought of installing a ramp is unclear to me. The whole building looks like it got stuck in the seventies. With long, unwelcoming halls and very basic rooms (no decoration...
