This Hotel is only open for a short time in the summer. For the rest of the year it is a school. It's clean but very Spartan. The rooms are very bare, but are perfectly adequate. Breakfast was ok, usual cereals and cold meats. Nice coffee. It's an easy walk into town. Hotel access is up several steps although once...

We stayed in the campsite by the hotel. Apparently not many people know about it as it was mostly empty both times we slept there. Shower is in the hotel and the campsite is reasonably priced. There is no cooking equipment.

This was one of the more "old fashioned" Edda hotels ( some of them have much higher standards!). The location was fine and the hotel occupied part of an enormous former school building. To enter the hotel one had to climb an impressive staircase ( I do not know how they deal with handicapped) to arrive at the reception located...

We booked a private room and were happily surprised to see that it included a private bathroom. The beds were good, bathroom adequate, desks much better than in usual hotels as they must serve the students all year. The breakfast buffet was very good, a lot of choice and the staff very helpful.

We spent 16 nights touring 2200 miles of Iceland, all in hotels with private baths and included breakfasts. Immediately we learned that the wifi was weak and could only be accessed in the lobby. No apologies or compensation. The room was clean and sparse. It was fine and about average for our trip with nights in more remote locations. We...

We recently stayed here for two nights. Yes, as others have mentioned,it's fairly basic. However, the room was clean. Breakfast was better than most other hotels offered on our trip. Elizabeth on reception was delightful and couldn't have been more helpful. She answered so many of our questions with enthusiasm. We learnt so much from her. We did a trip...

If you're looking for three to five star, this isn't your place. This was my first time with Edda, and given where I've stayed before, I'm perfectly happy. Clean sheets, clean room, a sink in my room with a closet and shelves, which is more than I can say for 80% of the places I stay in many countries. Bathroom...

We had a difficult time finding lodging for three nights in the area, even booking seven months in advance (take note!). We knew the lodging here would be basic. But in reality, it was just a little too dreary and odd for us. The rooms are dorm rooms. Not the end of the world and the beds were comfortable. But...

This is a dormitory. We had a nice spacious room with a bathroom and shower. We slept well and thought the breakfast was about what you get everywhere in Iceland. Isafjordur is not a very big town, so it is easy to get everywhere on foot. Some have mentioned lugging their things up a huge flight of stairs. You can...

Very straight forward hotel not unlike other Edda Hotels. Very spartan but convenient and comfortable. We had a double and a single bed...no issues. Bathroom was nice. Breakfast was typical Icelandic breakfast and heavy in carbs but still served us well. Wifi only works in the commons area which is a little inconvenient but didn't hamper our stay at all....
