We stayed at Hali Country Hotel two nights in late July 2016. Location is superb with a view on the glacier (by clear weather) and close to the ocean! We were an extended family of six and had 2 rooms. The only two available were in different buildings and it was fine! We were in an older building with shared...

We stayed here for one night during our 11 day tour of Iceland. Being close to the edge of the Vatnajokull glacier the scenery was magnificent. Lots of birds including a field of nesting Arctic Terns who were dive bombing us if we got too close! Our room was in one of the new blocks and was very modern and...

We went here as part of a 10 day tour of Iceland. The location was great, scenery stunning and near the glacier fields. Artic terns were in abundance and protective of their nests. The room we had was in the new block and it had a huge shower room which was suitable for disabled people (we were not). Food in...

We had a very pleasant stay overnight. Staff was friendly and helpful, making sure it was OK for our check-in late at night. Room was cozy and quiet, perfect for a good nights sleep. Breakfast was alright, a bit too crowded for the little space, but nothing to mind. Recommended for your rest between Vik and Hofn.

As with most Icelandic hotels, rooms some distance from the main building/restaurant, so quite a long walk up a lava track. Food was excellent with a reasonably varied choice and good service. Rooms were nicely decorated and reasonably spacious, but unlike the other hotels we stayed in, my room had a polyester duvet which was hot, heavy and not very...

The restaurant was great, as well as the impressive tiny museum. Breakfast is also in this main building. The separate building where the rooms are is surrounded by some farm barns and other residential houses. It feels like a little village and you have to walk 3min to the main house for breakfast. There's a nice coffee/tea station in the...

I stayed here so that I could make the morning glacier cave tour, since it's too far a drive from Reykjavik. The room was very nice, warm, and comfortable. My only issue is that the room was not well soundproofed, and I could easily hear the conversations in the common area. I always travel with earplugs and was a solo...

Really comfortable beds, new looking bathrooms in stunning location. There are several different buildings on the property, while is located on an old farm. We stayed in the building closest to the ocean. Gorgeous views of the cliffs and the sea from the grassy fields. Close by the Jokulsarlon lagoon and beach icebergs. Truly a relaxing haven. We only stayed...

We had a large room facing the hillside. The hotel is basic, but very clean and comfortable. It's set in a quiet location by the ocean and the mountains, close to the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. Breakfast is in the nearby Thorburger Museum Restaurant and is very good. Although it seems like along walk in the pouring rain!

Comfortable, countryside feel and clean hotel. If u plan to visit Jokulsarlon, good location to stay since only 10 mins drive .If you are planning to eat dinner, there is no dinner area around the hotel besides their hotel one. Dinner at the hotel restaurant is not bad but no cheap as well. Breakfast is buffet.
