Dear johnsutton3, Thank you for taking your time to write this reveiw. Did you stay in a cabin? because those are the only rooms that have bunk beds. For future reference, you can always talk to the receptionist and ask to upgrade to a room more suitable for you, if we have available rooms then we will gladly help. Thank...

We had a 3 night stay in Iceland this November staying at the Viking hotel. When we arrived at the hotel there was no one at reception but instructions on the door said to go across to the restaurant bar, which we did. A young lady there immediately came across to the reception and booked us in. We stayed in...

Dear HirstJohn Thank you for that wonderful review, we are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. We understand that the location isn't ideal for everyone, and the high pricing is unavoidable in this country.... If you choose to stay with us we will gladly welcome you. Happy new year!

breakfast ok help yourself. Superior room what??? Extra kitchen cupboard space and single bed? the hot water stinks of bad eggs and makes you feel quite nauseous apparently this is the sulphur - at the local swimming pool facilities you dont have a smell problem from the hot water or anywhere else we visited. There is a restaurant over the...

Dear princesslea_10 Thank you for taking your time to write a review of your experience with us. It's very unfortunate that your stay here wasn't meeting your expectations. The sulfur smell isn't everywhere, it's in many other hotels, houses and places in Iceland. It depends on from where people get their hot water, we get it from the hot springs....

Like many other before, I wanted to see what a Viking Hotel was! Well, its not much really that different, its not cheap, Euro 127 for a small double room, breakfast included as if its a big deal. The worst thing that happened was the bumping noise from the laundry, which unknown to us was opposite our room and someone...

We just spent 5 days at this hotel. It is clean and the staff are helpful. Be aware that there is no bar, or restaurant, on site....it is across the road. The price of food and drink (across the island) is extraordinarily expensive. The hot water smells like rotten eggs. We had a fab holiday, but be prepared to spend...

The Viking Village Hotel was a nice hotel. About 20 minutes from downtown Reykjavik, and 40 minutes from the airport, it is situated nicely across the street from the harbor of Hafnarfjordur. I booked the hotel because it seemed like a fun idea on our last night in Iceland to stay at a themed place. What can I say, I...

Me and my partner have just come back from a 4 night stay at the Viking hotel, it is brilliantly themed and so quirky. If you like old styes and a rustic feel then this is for you. It's not a glamours style hotel, it's better! It's clean. We stayed in one of the cottages that are only as I...

Nice looking building with classic architecture but that's about it. The very small, closet-sized standard-double rooms are high priced for what you are getting at $100.00usd per night. Cottages are the better choice for space, but these are about 188.00usd per night. Rooms were otherwise clean, but cold with no in-room thermostat for heating. In our small room we could...

This is not the hotel to stay in if you are looking for luxury, however, we found it clean and had what we needed to have a lovely stay in Iceland. The room had one of the most comfortable beds I have slept on and I slept like a baby. There is a kitchen area with a microwave but although...
