I was so ill when we stayed here as my dear husband had shared his cold with me! I emailed in the morning on the way there to ask if we could check in early and received an immediate response saying yes, free of charge. Receptionist was lovely, checked us in fast, offered to take our bags up (no lift)...

Travelling from Reykjavik, Hotel Akureyri was a delight to stay in! The view from the doorstep is lovely and the rooms comfortable. Bathroom may be small for some, but I found it just right. Probably had my best sleep in Iceland at this hotel! A short walk to the Akureyrarkirkja and the central area. We were able to walk from...

The bed was comfy and bathroom adequately equipped. The breakfast was delicious with good variety and restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. The staff were...

Everything was clean, staff was friendly, overall easy and enjoyable experience. There was a pretty good selection for breakfast and the location was walking distance from downtown which made it easy to get to restaurants/bars. Parking could have been improved, I came in winter and the parking lot was not plowed so it was difficult getting in and out.

We stayed at this hotel for one night in early October 2016. Pros: The hotel was very easy to find and convenient to walk to the charming downtown area. There was plenty of parking available on the street. Since we were only staying one night, we did get the cheapest room, so the view of the hillside right outside of...
