First of all, you can't check in at this location. What they don't tell you is it is co-owned by the "Hotel Akuyeri" so you check in there then go to the guesthouse, ring the bell and have to be let in, you'll be lucky if staff is around to greet you. Parking is up to you to figure out....

Window to the high street was no problem, the noise from outside did not wake us but the slamming of doors with too heavy door pumps did. The beds were very good, and the shared facilities quite good, both bathrooms and kitchen. The location is smack in the middle of Akureyri.

Worst hotel noisy stinks We were happy we stayed for only one night at this horrible hotel. I dont think i can even call one positive aspect!! Wait, its located at the centre.. We had a room at the 2nd Floor on the front. The whole night there was a lot of noise from outside and also the walls are...

This was selected as an alternate to a guest house 17km out of town. Stayed on 4th floor, no elevator, very small but clean room. There was no extra space in bath room. Breakfast was very very basic no one servicing the breakfast items.

I spent two nights in this guesthouse, it is well located in the Main Street of akureyri. You have to go though and get the keys at the hotel, 5 min walk from the guesthouse. The room was spacious enough, clean and had a washbasin. Toilets were shared, but always clean. We used also the kitchen for breakfast. The owner...

The rooms were small but clean. The temperature in the room was high. The bathrooms are shared and not so clean. Its located in the mainstreet and that is noisy. Their isnt a reception in the guesthouse. You have to go to the hotel which is a 5 minutes walk.

My family and I have just returned from our holiday in Iceland and whilst in Akureyri we stayed at this guesthouse. It was in a fantastic spot, right in the heart of everything!! Lovely comfortable beds, very clean and spacious too. Fabulous views over the mountains and if we wanted anything the management were more than helpful with any request....

Good location on the main street or just behind the corner (they have several locations), basic and clean rooms, not too expensive - 68 euros with a shared bathroom and about 75 with a private one. Comfortable beds. No breakfast included, but otherwise nice service. We found this as a good option in Akureyri, if you don't stay in the...

The bathroom was huge, and the location can't be beat, right in the middle of things downtown. The room was spotless, although the TV received only one channel. As our stay was over a weekend, we had to shut the windows to keep out the noise from the Friday/Saturday night houligans on the street below, but the facility itself was...

This guesthouse is in downtwon Akureyri, and is related to the Hotel Akureyri, where you'll check in during most of the year. So head to Hotel Akureyri and check in first, and then head to the Guesthouse. There are two or three different buildings, and I stayed in 104. Parking is available for free, though I would not suggest parking...
