Our hosts were great. Loved the location, walked to the lighthouse and only a shirt drive to the beach. Cute little town. Only downside for us was internet went down around 10:30pm, but was okay the next morning.

Very hospitable hosts in an Akranes house, which is close to Reykjavik, but without the hustle-bustle. Bikes available for around town cruising. Wonderful view of Snaefellsnes peninsula with breathtaking sunsets (summer). Sulfurous hot water, but that's pretty much the norm in Iceland. Overall, very happy with our experience!

We loved our stay at the Teigur Guesthouse. The owners were so lovely and were very eager to give us suggestions on things to do or places to go in and around the area. We took their recommendation and visit the Barnafoss, which was a waterfalls coming out of volcanic rocks, and we loved it! The accommodation itself was like...

This property offers two rooms sharing the ground floor unit including a large living room, a small dining room, bathroom with shower and a full-service eat-in kitchen. The owners are wonderful and very helpful. The bedrooms are a good size and bright. It is a great choice in a nice, interesting town.

We had an unplanned stop in Akranes during a winter storm with closed roads on our way to Snaefellsness, and we couldn't have found a better place to stay. The Teigur Guesthouse was the best of all of our travels in Iceland. The rooms were clean, cozy and comfortable. The shared living room and kitchen was just like being at...

We came here after visiting the local youth hostel and decided to stay here. What a great decision. Wifi is good and fast, everything very clean and the apartment pretty big, there is even a separate living room. The owner also called us when there were Northern lights. Great stay, feels like home.

Stayed there on 4 October. Lovely welcome by the host family (which lives upstairs), cozy place with only 2 rooms. One room with one double bed and the other with 2 single beds which can be attached together. So you can expect a home atmosphere. The kitchen is well organized and very clean. In the fridge you have a nice...
