We were not able to stay here overnight on our recent first trip to Iceland, but would love to do so. Instead, we had lunch after hiking to Glymur falls. Absolutely stunning views. We had the same sandwich described and photographed by smicken. Excellent presentation and meal. The decor and style struck us as being far more high end than...

We spent 2 nights of our Iceland honeymoon at the Hotel Glymur. It felt more like we were staying at a rented cottage on our own really. We rented the Romance Villa so we were pretty separate from the main hotel for the most part. We bought a few groceries and saved some money by making a couple meals on...

Very nice place, remote from any town. Great view, the room was wonderful. Very comfortable bed and bath condition was good. The service was amazing. We got in at 22:00 and they prepared dinner for just for the two of us. The decoration of the place as well as the room is very nice.

This funky hotel sits on a hill overlooking a fjord. There are two hot tubs to chill in and look at the water -- they'll bring cold beer out to you. Books galore & the rooms are very cool - we didn't opt for a fjord view & After I peeked in I realized it is totally worth it the...

We booked this hotel for the last night of our trip as the cost was significantly more than any other place we stayed while in Iceland and we wanted to treat ourselves on our last night of vacation. Even for an expensive country, this hotel was another cost level above everything else. The staff was underwhelming, dinner was average and...

The hotel is located on a hill overlooking a breathtaking fjord. The rooms are very small, but nice. The staff was friendly. Do not, repeat, do not, get a room with "mountain view." Only get rooms with the fjord view, which cost more. The "mountain view" looks at a hill in the backyard. You could get a "mountain view" room...

This hotel was nice but we expected much more for the price. It was comfortable and the location is absolutely stunning. The food in the restaurant was amazing if very pricey. We were content till we got the bill the next day and had sticker shock. Iceland is expensive but even in that context, this seemed too much. It was...

The drive to Glymur was beautiful, around the mountains, by the sea, felt in a very unique and isolated place. The hotel itself is nice, think it was too expensive for the room we got. We didnt get one of the separate cabinets which might have been a better idea given that the room was nice, viewing the sea and...

We went here on our honeymoon and had a wonderful time! The hotel upgraded our room on arrival and our room was lovely with stylish designer furniture and great electronic adjustable beds. The view was amazing over the bay and the outdoor hot tubs were great. Breakfast was superb with som much on offer, really sets you up for the...

We just had our wedding at Hotel Glymur and is was beyond all expectations. My Icelandic husband picked the hotel, and it was perfect for a wedding of less than 100. The setting is spectacular and close to Reykjavik, thus easy to get to from the city. Definitely ask for a room with a view of the fjord (one side...
