We dined at Hotel Maria Garden Terrace and took a tour of hotel checking some of their rooms. Beautiful old building (officers quarters) renovated to high standard. Service is polite and attentive. Very calm atmosphere. Rooms are different sizes but all high-quality and fine attention to details. Rooms have big beds and toilets (many with bathtub and some with sauna). Downstairs has one fine dining area, bar and. Garden terrace restaurant. They also have nice looking spa. There is an annex of the hotel that is still being built.

What can i say about this amazing and wonderful hotel? We found out when we arrived at the end of December that we were the VERY first booking for this newly opened hotel! They treated us like royalty! The room was amazing with our own sauna. The bed was extremely comfortable and the music and lighting in the room was very relaxing. A beautiful hotel in a nice neighborhood that’s off the beaten path but still within walking distance from the cathedral, the ferry dock, the water, and market square. Wonderful, helpful and friendly staff, delicious breakfast, and new, refreshing, elegant rooms and bathrooms. Our check-in / check - out was so smooth thanks to friendly and efficient staff at the reception Linda & Flavio.
The breakfast was delecious and had a great variety of options.
The room is spacious and clean .bed were exceptionally comfortable .
I like the atmosphere in Garden Terrace , peaceful ,calming place and very cosy. The staff in graden terrace are not only friendly but also highly skilled.special mention a girl from Ukraine YLONA . she was very polite and attentive.
The food - i am a steak lover, the steak is just cooked right very juicy. The plating is presentable. pricing is fair.definetely value for money
Pool ,sauna room, steam room are so exceptional,i feel so relaxed and time to unwind 🥰 My daughter really enjoyed the pool.
We had a great stay, especially my daughter, she really enjoyed. Would like to come back here again.

Such a lovely stay on my birthday! The staff was amazing and all the smallest details were right spot on! My birthday was taken into account several times during our stay and this is something that we are not used to in Finland - Thank you!
Room was spacious with lovely details and amneties. Decor of the room was harmonious giving modern luxus feeling. Spa experience was aslo amazing! Every step of the spa experience was relaxing and felt like everything was designed just for you. Followed by fine dining experience in Restaurant Lilja - menu full of suprising tastes with thoughtful service and well decided wine pairing made my day!
Breakfast met the expectations of 5 star hotel - table served with top quality products and service.

Our 1 night staycation at Maria was definitely a 5-star experience! Service was very attentive and friendly. The deluxe room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and we really enjoyed the own sauna in the room. The japanese-style electronic toilet was also a nice touch! Everything in the room worked well, from playing music to several light settings. Had a really tasty dinner at restaurant Lilja (the tasting menu) and some great wines as well. Also the breakfast was very nice. All in all, would definitely recommend for a stay in Helsinki!

My experience was less than satisfactory. The place and rooms look fantastic and everything in the bedroom is extremely high quality. However, the windows are sealed and the air conditioning is always on (can be modulated but not turned off) creating a humming sound in the room at night. I had to move room at 1am due to very noisy ineffective air-conditioning (room was noisy and hot). In the second room, the bath (splendid-looking) plug was defective, letting water down slowly while taking my bath. The breakfast was excellent. Overall, not at the standard expected for the 5-star and the price paid.

The absolute best hotel in Helsinki - me and my wife luckily chanced upon this hotel which is newly opened, and we couldn't be happier with the experience !!! The service of the property was top notch, and location was too good. Special shout out to Amy for helping organise vegetarian breakfast items outside of the menu, which in and of itself was incredible !!!!

Amazing hotel with wonderful staff and service. We stayed two nights on separate visits and were lucky enough to experience the luxury of two different suites. This is proper five star quality in terms of comfort, space and style. The standard of bedding, bathroom and decor is exceptional.
