Situation good - easy to go to Messukeskus or by tram or train to Helsinki city center. Accommodation OK and service friendly. Personal reacting rapidly for example for reclamations. Beside Mall of Tripla (shopping center) and trainstation. Came by car and ongoig roadworks peturbs little bit.
Scandic Pasila was a great place - good price, beautiful rooms, fabulous breakfast, super service and close to modes of transportation. It's about a 12 minute walk from the Tripla Mall which is a railway stop. We could catch trains easily to the waterfront area where we caught trams to other parts of the city. The system is easy and convenient. There is even a tram stop right outside the hotel and we used that line several times. Our room had twin beds that pushed together to make a king-size bed. We had plenty of floor and storage space, a small fridge, desk, closet and nice, roomy bathroom. The windows had room darkening shades that helped with outside light at night. The nicest feature was that the floor of the bathroom was HEATED as well as the several-layer towel racks! It was nice to not feel cold on your feet in the bathroom and it was easy to rinse clothing items out and dry them on the towel racks - very nice! The hotel is big and well maintained. The staff helped with every question or need we had. We never encountered anyone unwilling too help us. The breakfast area is huge but can get congested if there is a conference in town or the hotel is full. You can take food to your room but we found space every day in the dining room. The food was plentiful and varied: meats, cheeses, vegetables, fruits, yogurt, granola, cereals, breads, rolls, jams, muffins, breakfast casseroles, eggs, desserts, candy, hot and cold drinks. We will definitely stay there again and we will suggest it to friends traveling to Helsinki.…
Checked in for two nights. Very thin walls in the rooms, a lot of noise from neighbours and constant water sounds from the bathroom. Also difficult to sleep with the fire detector's flashing lights throughout the night, and a gap under the door allowing both corridor noise and light to sipper through. Clean sheets and towels were provided, but there was a faint sewer smell in the bathroom and dust and hair could be found on a chair in my room when I first checked in. It was an average room, but the hotel is in a good location. Breakfast was excellent, with a lot of choices also for special diets. Staff was friendly and the provided gym was great. Overall an okay stay, but I will look for a more soundproof hotel next time.
I was very pleased for my family visit in Scandic Pasila. Room were nice, quiet and clean. The Nearness of Mall of Tripla / Pasila Railway Station made location even better than I anticipated (we arrived by train).
Comfy beds, excellent breakfast, Chromecast on tv,renovated rooms have nice and modern colors. Bathroom seemed to be in original shape, but tidy all together. You can borrow bicycles, which was a big bonus for me and my travelling companion.
I was there for 1 night only: Pros: -easy booking -excellent location -cleanliness -VERY comfy bed -iron+board -window opens -TV in English -good breakfast -helpful and nice staff. Cons: -hot room and can't clearly control themostat -noisy guests, no sound proofing -breakfast doesn't have hot choc -price/value ratio a bit high even at lowered price €79
This was My second visit here in this hotel. I was actually the first customer after the rebranding to Scandic in September 2020. Then I was upgraded to a bigger room and I enjoyed the stay very much, very comfortable. This time I stayed for one Night and I was not impressed. The room I was given was so small, it was more like a chicken Coop than a room for two People. The room was clean, but the bed was very uncomfortable with plastic cover underneath, I had to sleep on top of the duvet. Bathroom was so small and needed a refurbishment. The breakfast was ok, but the breakfast room was so full of People it looked like a cattle drive was in town. A lot of families, so the Noise level was high. The location is very Good Close to Tripla and Pasila train station. I would not Accept this really small room that I was given, but I could not upgrade to a bigger room. The Price I paid was pretty cheap, but the room was a disappointment.…
Very small room, no kettle in the room, no pillow options available, bed sheet in two diagonal sheets instead of one big one and plastic underneath it: not comfortable at all. Very poor experience compared to a very high price: 158 € for a standard room for one person!
Exellent location, Very helpful staff at rececption. Sauna good bonus. Very good silence to sleep at night. We had three person at room + upp grade. Room was still very spacious by 3 person. TV, wifi ok. Good breakfast.
We spent a night in the master suite with two children. The suite is spacious and comfortable and we liked it very much. The service was excellent both in the hotel and in the restaurant. The breakfast was also good, just like in other Scandic hotels. All in all, it was very much worth the price.
