First the whole atmosphere on hotel is really i mean REALLY old. You feel you are in 90s, in some area early 2000s Restaurant is way over priced. And there is no other restaurants really close. Bed in sea view rooms was TERRIBLE, im Hilton gold customer and visted dozen of Hilton 20 century and didnt saw that poor beds never, its hard ,like you sleep in floor and we was four of us and nobody didn’t sleep. Service is average not bad but not kind of Hilton standars.

Hotel's Favourite
We decided to have a nice staycation in Hilton Kalastajatorppa and this time I really got an experience what it mean to be Hilton Diamond member! I booked standard room with good price. In reception we felt very welcome and got a nice gift bag. Room was a nice suite with own fireplace, something I never experienced in my travels. Food and service in restaurant in the evening was wonderful. Wines matched perfectly with food, beef tartar first course and trout main course. Also cheese plate was very good. Sauna and pool relaxed in the evening and morning, in this hotel it's possible to swim in the sea also. Breakfast was good , typical Hilton breakfast and service was perfect even breakfast was quite crowded. Deffinitely I'm coming back soon!

Beautiful location close to Helsinki. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Kettle in the room. Conference lunch buffet has a good selection of both greens meat fish and vegetarian options. Staff very very helpful and attentive. Dinner was also good...especially the potatoes blinis were amazing

The hotel is located on the outside of Helsinki in a peaceful environnement facing the sea.  You can easely access it by car. The tram  # 4 is direct and it takes you 30 minutes to reach central train station. It is reliable and it is worth purchasing a day ticket at the train station. There are a few spots where you can park your car on the street. The hotel's location is great if you are a fan of nature and maybe less if you are looking for vibrant night life. The hotel is really cleaned and my room was big, facing the sea. I wished it was sunny during my rainy stay. The TV is great with a few foreign channels and some sport ones. The bed is great too. The WiFi works well. The breakfirst buffet is good with a good variety of products hot and cold. There is also a good espresso machine for real coffee. The service is excellent. I was not sure whether the cut fruits were fresh or not. This hotel used to be a gem considering the number of various pictures from numerous countries' presidents that visited such as Clinton. Today you can see signs of weariness such as the windows, doors, or the strange smell in the corridors. I found the lobby gloomy due to the lack of colors and light. Frankly, this won't prevent you from having a good night of sleep or enjoy your stay. The place is so quiet. At least it is reflected in the price which is reasonable for a Hilton Hotel and located in Finland. This place must be lovely when the snow recovers everything. There are not many options to dine so you may have to travel back with the tram to find plenty restaurants on the way to downtown. The hotel has a restaurant too overlooking the sea but it is so pricy. FranklyI found it too expensive.

Rate this hotel - 5. It is excellent place with free breakfast and in quiet area. They have everything we need in the room. The window is big, so we enjoy viewing the lake and sunset. The guests can go to the pool or beach. Transportation 🚊 is about 3 mins away.

The Kalastajatorppa is a unique property in Helsinki and the hotel is laid out amidst unique grounds. The access to the water and the Gulf is special especially in summer. The conferencing Centre has traditional layout but with modern amenities. A decent place that can do better with some more proactive customer service

Stayed for 9 nights at Kalastajatorppa. The hotel stay was good. There was a problem with the Meritorppa restaurant though, which made my stay a bit less pleasant. The first two dinners at Meritorppa were great. Great food and great service. The 3rd night dinner at Meritorppa was a bad experience. I ordered the cheese and bacon burger (24 euros) and my son ordered the flank steak (41,90 euros). When the waitress asked how we wanted it cooked, I said medium well and my son said medium. Maybe the cook amount is different in the U.S. versus Finland, I don't know, but my hamburger was raw in the middle. I stated no pink and the middle was still bleeding. The bacon was also almost raw. My son's 41 euro steak was with no pink, basically well done when he had asked for medium. The waitress ordered me another burger and it took about 1 hour to come out. By this time, I really don't want another burger, but I was patient and tried not to complain. After waiting for the other burger, it comes out and it is well done, basically burnt and the french fries were also burnt. I figured that was my punishment for dare complaining about a raw in the middle burger. At this point, I just want to leave. The waitress did apologize and told the manager, who took it off the bill. When I went to pay the bill, the restaurant manager ran my card and was very rude to me. After signing for the bill the manager threw the receipt down on the bar and walked away without a word. He seemed angry that I dare complain about a 24 euro burger that was not suitable for eating. I did not return to the Meritorppa for the next 6 nights as planned and was able to find food elsewhere. Other than that restaurant experience, my stay was good. One thing to note is that the room we were in did not seem to have air conditioning, but luckily it was June and we could open the balcony door. The area is beautiful and safe with nice walking trails. The sauna was the best part about the hotel stay.
