We stayed in one of the Kelorinne log cabins for a week, which were located right next to the slopes. The cabin looked as though it had been recently refurbished, with a new kitchen, bathroom and sauna. The kitchen had every utensil you could imagine,...More

I've only been there in the winter time when they have skiing and snowboarding and other winter activities. They do have a swimming pool and sauna in the hotel free if you stay in the hotel and a small charge if you're staying in the log cabins.
There are two places you can eat the hotel or the clubhouse at the top of the hill. If you are self catering you're have to going to town to get supplies as the shop in the hotel has only a small supply of food.
The temperature at the moment is around 1830

We are right now in Salla. From the airports (Kuusamu and Rovaniemi) there is a bus to Salla. Check the website of the airports for the time and reservation. Salla is really in the middle of nowhere. The reindeer park organizes lots of nice trips and Keila snowscooter safaris. Skiing is at the back of the Salla Spa hotel, where we stay in a log cabin, simple, nice and cozy. The pool is reasonable but crowded. The small shop at the hotel is very expensive and has virtually no choice, most days bread, milk and some cola. So bring a lot! Also bring a lot of cloth, it is now very cold -30 Celsius. The only thing free is the Northern light, they are spectacular. Near the camping on the lake is an excellent spot. Hope this helps
