Within walking distance from the central railway station, this magnificent ship, now a hotel, firmly anchored. The location is perfect for "a night at the opera." The room was spacious, there were two armchairs, television and of course sea view. It was peaceful and quiet at night, probably because the restaurant is closed during the winter season. The breakfast buffet...

I have stayed at Barken Viking a few times and I love it. I normally stay at Post, Hilton, Radisson etc. and really enjoy the atmosphere of the great sailing ship with it's unique cabins. I think it is great. You really feel naval :-) The owner is also great and you get a very "personal" treatment when you stay...

Central location to discover Goteborg and its history ! The boat is a pleasant living place for those who really appreciate boat. You can enjoy a nice breakfast buffet and let your mind follow the history . Please note the restaurant can be closed during winter time and note that restaurants in Sweden can close earlier than usual.

Stylish hotelship with a wonderfull breakfast, but unfortunately the restaurant is closed during wintertime forcing you out in the cold weather to look for a place to eat, which is at least 500 m away. Would have been so nice to stay onboard this wonderful lovely heated ship when dining.

Fantastic hotel in a genuine 4-mast tall ship, perfectly located on the river next to the Lilla Bommen harbour and the opera house. I already miss it. Really nice and helpful staff, spotless cleaning, very quiet (caveat below), good breakfast buffet, charming unique cabins. Bit of a pity that one can't snoop around more of the ship, or reach the...
