We returned to visit after living in Uppsala 20 years ago and couldn't be happier with our choice of hotel. Our room was pleasant, well appointed, clean and most of all the beds were comfortable. Hotel Uppsala is convienent to all city sites and across the street from an excellent Indian restaurant. The staff was very friendley and the breakfast...

I have stayed in the Hotel Uppsala on several occasions and have always found it to be a good experience. In a city where nothing is cheap, the hotel offers value for money especially considering the included buffet breakfast. Rooms tend to be quiet and spacious and the location is perfect for exploring the (very small) city!!

The room had a little sink where there were dirty cups and glasses. A prior guest had used the cups and glasses, not washed up and the staff...

This was rather disappointing. The hotel has been recently renovated, but the renovation is only skin-deep. The hotel still exudes a hospital-like quality, with echoing corridors and painted glassfiber weave-covered walls. Though the beds are good ("Hästens" brand), the impression was rather let down by a big tear in the bed cover. The restaurant serves a non-inspired buffet dinner, and...

We stayed at the Hotel Uppsala for a total of 7 nights during our three week trip to Sweden and Norway in Septmeber, 2006. We stayed in rooms classified as "superior" because they had been renovated in the last year or two. Our rooms had wood floors and were roomy. You didn't have to walk sideways to move around. The...

We where in Uppsala for 2 nights. Great hotel and very central in uppsala. Train station is only a 10 min. walk. The train goes very often to stockholm and Arlanda airport (but you don't need to go away... Uppsala is also very beautiful). The staff of the hotel is very friendly and very helpful. The hotel room that we...
