I stayed one night at Dala Husby Hotell while on a road trip in June. I booked their summer package which included the 7-course tasting menu for dinner with a beverage pairing; it was all very good. I was surprised at the variety of food on offer (given its location) and wines were very nice, the service was also excellent....

Afternoon tea is served dowstairs, guests are supposed to bring it up to an undersized lounge one stair up. The reason for this being that the dining room is to be set for dinner which is served two hours later. The open fireplace is an ideal place for putting a rickety serving table up against, a fire would have been...

The hotel has always been old, worn, outdated and without much charm. In the past it was all forgiven by the food and the service in the dining room. Not so any more. The hotel is older, more worn, more outdated and without charm. Unfortunately food is not what it used to be, if this is because the chef has lost...

The fame of the hotel and the membership to numerous valued chains () The fame of the hotel and the membership to numerous valued chains () would suggest something really different from the unappealing and distasteful interiors that we have found. The building is really beautiful, ancient and typical of the region but the location is not the most attractive,...

This hotel is a new one of the Countryside Hotells in Sweden which I have always found to be wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a river and many lakes for fishing close by. The hotel can provide gear and even bicycles. I will return here next year and I recommend it highly.

It's such a charming place in such a lovely environment it seems unfair to give a poor rating, but the room really needed attention. Room 14 - peeling paint inside, uncomfortable bed (sagging - I think just old) and a pink sofa with strange white residue on it (baby food?). Breakfast was nice, but nothing to write home about for...

This is really a lovely little hotel with an excellent restaurant. We have stayed 3 times over the past 3 years. Excellent, friendly service. The restaurant is one of the better ones I eaten in and I have been in many good ones all over the world.

We recently stayed at the Dala Husby Hotell & Restaurant and truly enjoyed our stay. The restaurant is one of the best we have experienced among the Swedish hotels that specialize in gourmet weekend deals. We stayed 2 nights and had booked a package deal that included a 3-course meal each evening. Staff was extremely warm and friendly, something we...

While travelling in Sweden after picking up a new Volvo at the factory my siister and I stayed at the Dala Husby Hotel for three nights. It was our favorite Swedish stay. To me this was "real Sweden." Staying here felt like staying at a family home. The staff was very warm and welcoming and helpful in planning excursions. They...
