This hostel change the place/build. It's completely different, you can see by the photos. The photos don't are updated. The hostel don't have a living room anymore. The kitchen is not the same of the photo, If you are thinking in to cook, forget. Don't have laundry. Don't have any responsible during the night.

Great hostel, great people, great city ! I absolutely loved it there ! If you choose to stay in this hostel you will be in the old city and very close of everything that you will need to see (and also close of the train station), the staff is very nice and helpful plus coffee/tea is free ! ;)

For an expensive town like Stockholm it was pretty ok, very central (2 minutes to the Royal Palace) and easy to reach from the central station. Breakfast is really basic and wifi is not working very well I have ot admit. Pros is that they have a 24h reception and a pretty big kitchen.

the stuff is really nice, but there are just a few toilets and showers. the kitchen is really small and the wifi doesn't really work. the beds are squeaking a lot...so it's hard to come home by night without waking up the others in the room. nicely located in the center.

Good situation, big kitchen which is very useful for such an expensive town. The rooms are good and there are enough bathrooms even though they're not very hygienic. There's a free breakfast but it's not really good. The best idea is to top it with your own food.

Reception is only 9-5 What is the point. I was locked out of my room for 3 hours, hot, exhausted and pissed off. Sterile environment, hot rooms, no charm. Definitely not worth it. Decent location though!

The word"kitchen" is a symbol. They have plates cups pots bot no stove.Only two tables in the kitchen. The reception only works from 9:00-17:00.Many guests stuck there and don't know how to do cuz the reception window shows "will be back in 10 mins".But actually never show up.I stayed in 28 bed-room.Some roommates came back very late and spoke loudly. The worst part...

The good things: Good location in old town, staff really nice and communicative. Bad things: No common spaces for meeting people, only a very small kitchen whiout a oven. Rooms are OK but with funny smell. There is no breakfeast and nothing to eat if you are hungry. I stayed six nights and I meet noone there to hang, to...

This place is perfectly situated for exploring Stockholm. But the short hours for reception are not accommodating. The staff was not helpful in providing recommendations around the area. The small kitchen area was stuffy and hot, and it is the only common area. When you check in, you have to prepare your own bed. Our room was quite cramped, it...

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
