If you are travelling to Stockholm on vacation find another hotel close to public transportations. This hotel is not located in central parts of Stockholm. Avoid it during summer. No aircondition and a lot of traffic outside 24seven.

The building itself is beautiful and interesting and the (few) renovated rooms are ok, but be aware that all hotel is under reconstruction - room by room. The service is fairly poor and a lot of things doesn't work in the rooms. Worst of all...More
In the former building of the Swedish wine and spirits state monopoly someone has created this industrial design hotel, an idea not bad as such; however, this First Hotel will never enjoy a monopoly status. It is the First Hotel that will be my last...More
I liked the vintage look this hotel had. It looked like it used to be a theatre of some kind. The rooms are tidy and clean, and the breakfast was good! Maybe a tiny bit far from the city centre for my feeling.

Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s
actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.

Dear Jojo U, as your fellow traveller already told you, you have two options. Either Flygbussarna (shuttlebuses), which stops just right outside our entrance (stop is called Norra Stationsgatan) or a taxi. Flygbussarna is 109 sek/person and the Taxi (we would advise you to use Taxi Stockholm or Taxi Kurir) they have a fixed price at 780 sek, since you will need a big car. Welcome to us and to Stockholm
